The only convincing case I’ve seen
Cam on twitter: Reality check for those threatening to stay home if their GOP candidate doesn’t win: Supreme Court Justice Eric Holder.

Mentioned before but bears repeating: Proof that F&F Was a Plot to Bring About Gun Control.
Employee Protection Legislation, at NRA-ILA.
This is one of those bills I’m uncertain about. On one hand, forcing someone to allow guns on their property doesn’t sit right. And on the other, my car is my property and I can keep in it whatever I want.
In Canada, a man defends himself from people firebombing his house. Guess who’s on trial?
Slight malfunction with the free ice cream machine.
So, they’re looking to do an IPO. People voice their concerns about privacy on Facebook. And I often see posts about how someone is unhappy because Facebook is doing some thing they don’t like. Well, if they go public, expect more of that. They’ll need to keep up their profit margins.
And, remember, kids. You’re not Facebook’s customer. You are its product.
My nephews came by this past weekend and one of them took an interest in my KA-Bar TDI Last Ditch Knife. He’s into making stuff out of paracord and he’s good at it. Well, he made be a handle and an adjustable way to put it on a belt:

Bill for scale. Pretty cool.
My gastrointestinal issues are not going away. Could be anything from colitis to cancer. That’s a pretty wide range and has me nervous. The doc hasn’t come across anything to indicate cancer but it’s still possible. So, I’m going to a specialist who will, most likely, do a scope. My understanding is that the actual procedure is nothing. It’s the cleansing the day before that actually sucks. Seems you have to drink about 700 gallons of some liquid that tastes like someone strained Sprite through ass and you can’t be more than about 3 feet from a toilet. I apparently should stock up on the softest toilet paper I can find.
Anyway, some of you have gone through this procedure. Anything I should know or be aware of to make the day before less shitty?
What a pain in the ass.
But, hey, I got some good puns out of that.
Man’s Asperger’s cured. It’s a miracle. Or, you know, it’s not really a disease. Our tendency to classify things that aren’t diseases as diseases (like this, addiction, and others) often seems a way to justify behavior that we don’t approve of.
Senator holds breath, throws tantrum over fair share:
Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-Rhode Island, today introduced the legislation, formally called now the “Paying a Fair Share Act,” today on the Senate floor.
And what does it do:
The legislation ensures that people with incomes exceeding $1 million pay at least a minimum federal tax rate of 30 percent. Taxpayers earning less than $1 million would not be affected by the bill.
Sounds familiar.
Denver police apologize to State Rep. Laura Bradford for not arresting her for drunk driving.
I’m just going to link this, say it’s stupid and move on. I could feel myself getting dumber as I read it.
CCI Quiet 22, a new round that that measures 68db at the ears so you can safely shoot without hearing protection. I wonder if it would cycle a semi-auto and, obviously, I want to run some through a suppressor just to see err hear.
State Senator Stacey Campfield said some uninformed things about AIDS recently, namely that it started from someone having sex with monkey in Africa. A local restaurant refused him service over his comments. And a lot of local folks rejoice and some folks cried discrimination against Campfield. If someone doesn’t like or has issue with an individual, that is not indicative of broad discrimination.
I tend to share Les’ sentiment:
Discriminating is not the nuclear bomb dirty word Rich and Linoge make it out to be.
Scientists supposedly develop technology to reconstruct thoughts. So, will the powers that be need a warrant to read your mind?
FBI goes on drug/gun raid. Unable to distinguish the letter R from the letter F, they raid the wrong house. The house of a mom and her 3 year old daughter. The agents used a chainsaw to open the door. Is that common practice? Using a chainsaw seems to me to be unnecessarily dangerous and doesn’t lend itself to stealth. Also, if I were sitting around my house and I saw and heard a chainsaw coming through the door, my first thought will not be it’s the police and I should cooperate. At that point, I’m quite likely unloading the nearest gun through the door.
Mentioned a bit back they banned gun advertisements at their UFC events because, err, they promote violence I guess. Well, the NSSF wants you to contact Fox and voice your concerns:
