It’s funny how those “treat me like everyone else statements” are in reference to next time and not during the incident.

Wrong. They apologized for NOT arresting her. She asked several times to not have special treatment. She asked to be given the breathalyzer. They did not.

The last three sentences in the article are:
“We are clearly instructed by the law not to arrest or detain a legislator when it’s in session. There’s ambiguity (in the law). It’s vague.”
Maybe they are quoting out of context, but aren’t “clearly” and “ambiguity” contradictory?
