Win a rifle
Here. From a professional wrestler, I think.
Not gonna happen, once you mention fully informed or libertarian anything. And the prosecutors and defenders will google you. Convictions are usually determined by people with subscriptions to People magazine, not folks who follow politics.
A half-assed piece from the Daily Show making fun of NRA. Can you spot what’s missing? Hint, you’ve covered it before.
Every once in a while, I go on a tear about how voting doesn’t matter and no point wasting my time arguing over which crap sandwich tastes better. But then someone reminds that it’s about the judges.
Fortunately, I live in a state where my vote doesn’t matter that much so I can be all self righteous.
Stuff happened regarding ATF smuggling guns into Mexico. Here’s some stuff:
The big news is Holder knew before he said he did. He claims he’s a busy guy and can’t possibly read all of his emails and memos and stuff.
Codrea: The man perjured himself in front of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. That is an impeachable offense and a prosecutable offense.
In addition to babies, amputees, children, grandmothers, and people with colostomy bags, they’ve added a new group to people it’s OK to harass: A cancer patient who recently had a double mastectomy and was in pain.
Way to keep the world safe.
A bunch of people who have no concept of how the world really works are having an event. Their, uhm, manifesto is entertaining reading. While I, in the abstract, wouldn’t mind pepper-spraying hippies, it’s actual application is unacceptable unless they’re being violent. We just joke about that and don’t actually do it.
Now, the local patchouli encrusted crowd is having a solidarity march in Knoxville, instead of doing something useful.
While I like the idea for symbolic and other self-satisfying reasons, others are telling me to be careful what I wish for. Enforcing gun laws is a job and someone has to do it. The laws won’t be going away. So, roll them back into Treasury?
Joe has a lot more, notably: Because they are so weak this might be the time to get rid of them simply because it is politically possible.
NewsAlert: there were 14% fewer murders in Chicago compared to the first six months of last year – back when owning handguns was illegal. It was the largest drop in Chicago’s murder rate since the handgun ban went into effect in 1982.
First, Ford mentions they didn’t take bailout money in an ad. Now, Ameriprise mentions they didn’t take bailout money.
Expecting those in authority to comply with the law is terrifying for the anti-gunners and the press (but I repeat myself).
Dick Williams looks at the Para Wild Bunch.
I interviewed the Para folks about it at NRA. The video is here.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
