The Nuge definitely didn’t do his homework when he published Marko’s piece.
I wasn’t there. But a lot of people were, apparently. For your perusing:

Me: You know how I always dreamed that Politically Incorrect Dog could talk and he had a deep voice with a British accent?
The Mrs: Yeah.
Me: Well, in my dreams, Flash sounds like Samuel Jackson.
The Mrs: Why do the dogs always talk in your dreams?
Me: Guess they got shit to say. That’s what Flash would say.
All the cool kids have Kel-Tec P3ATs. And take pics of them. But the really cool kids put lasers on theirs. I like mine with the CrimsonTrace LaserGrip.
From Robb’s review:
The laser was absolutely SPOT ON when compared to what passes for iron sights on the P3AT. No adjustments necessary. The fit was tight, and once screwed down, didn’t move a millimeter. The weight difference was unnoticeable and the switch unobtrusive. The laser dot was bright and absolutely perfect for this weapon. I highly recommend that even if you’re not a laser type person but you own a small, pocket pistol like the P3AT, that you look into getting a Crimson Trace that fits for you.
I concur.
I really dig CrimsonTrace.
The scouts are decked out in tactical gear with airsoft MP5s and doing tactical drills like border agents. This is scary.
McCarthy (D-Futile) is introducing a bill that prohibits those on the no-fly list from buying guns. Of course, we have no way of knowing we’re on the list and the list has nabbed some senators before. So, what could possibly go wrong?
Report on a forum of ATF agents interviewing people who have bought more than five guns. Seems they’re trying to find out how these guns are getting into Mexico. If true, they’re using that gun registry we don’t have.
We joke about the press taking dictation from the anti-gun lobby. We shouldn’t:
SENT AS A COURTESY OF THE BRADY CAMPAIGN TO PREVENT GUN VIOLENCE
I’m sure they’ll print something sent as a courtesy from the NRA, right?
The Tennessean bleats that, though it would be an exercise in futility, Governor Bredesen should veto the bill. To show that mean old gun lobby a thing or two. Bredesen was endorsed by NRA.
Meanwhile, some facts about such carry, including Tennessee is one of only ten states to not allow any form of handgun carry into restaurants that serve alcohol. However, those other 40 states are not inundated with reports of drunken brawls escalating to Wild-West-style shoot-outs, or anything of the nature.
Of course some restaurant owners oppose the bill. It forces them to choose to alienate customers.
All the cool kids are at the Second Amendment Blog Bash. So, someone’s gotta blog the gun stuff. But here’s some stuff from the bash:
More stuff from Sebastian.
Live coverage here.
Factcheck asks why more gun in Mexico aren’t traced. They say it’s because the system isn’t in English. Odd. Also it’s because a lot of guns come in from Mexico’s southern border.
Meghan McCain on popping some caps:
In the days after my dad lost the election, my brothers and I went to shoot rounds at the local shooting range. Partly because—as anyone who knows how to use a rifle and can do so safely understands—doing so is hugely stress-relieving, and partly because, we half-joked, it might mark the beginning of the end of our Second Amendment rights under the Obama administration. Now I admit we probably thought as much because our emotions were running so high following the election, but the fact remains: The right to bear arms, and specifically the idea of it being taken away from me, is one of my biggest concerns.
A couple things. One, the candidates were asked at one of the debates if they owned guns. Your dad did not answer in the affirmative. Two, looks like she’s getting put upon in comments.
The bill passed the senate 24-7.
Update: ACK:
On to the governor to decide whether to sign or veto or let pass without his signature. A gubernatorial veto in Tennessee can be overidden (sic) by a simple majority. Tennessee business owner still have the right to prohibit firearms on their premises.
Update: Stop the bleating.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
