And this gun was just right
Seems so much sillier if you put it that way.
This is so 1980s tactical it makes me want to shoot a Calico alongside Mel Gibson and Danny Glover:
Those chicken wings, though. A lot of guys with no eyes or ears.
It is interesting to see how shooting has changed over the years.
Via Subguns
French sharpshooter injures two after he negligently discharged his gun. He also shot himself in the foot. Sounds like a little too much booger-hook on the bang-switch.
A VA lawmaker left his handgun unattended in a meeting room. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he also loses points for off body carry and not having a round in the chamber. That’ll get you killed on the streets.
In the senate, by John Cornyn. This will be interesting to watch. Place your bets on it getting passed.
Soldier Systems reports that Glock is protesting Sig’s award of the contract for new handguns.
The NY Daily News advocates for police departments to start using smart guns. Says the noted gun expert (just kidding, he’s board president of Washington Ceasefire):
In the current political climate, the most promising way to save lives is by accelerating the adoption of safer firearms. And the best way to do that is by harnessing the purchasing power of police departments.
The police will not switch to smart guns because smart guns are dumb. And some police have already come out and said they’re not going to be the guinea pigs. Smart guns are not a proven, reliable technology yet. And likely will not ever be.
There’s a couple of AIWB holsters that I was looking into. However, they only make them for Glock 17s and 19s. The companies are Raven Concealment and CNC holsters. I currently have Raven’s for all of my M&Ps. But was playing around with the idea of AIWB.
So, JM Custom got my money instead.
The hysteria is hysterical. Today’s “Trump is a puppet installed by the Russians” is the new “Obama is a secret Muslim”.
The NRA has issued a statement of its support for the current bill.
A while back, I linked to a deal on amazon for Howard Leight ear protection. Well, some folks at ar15.com are reporting that amazon is issuing refunds because the product is “not as described”. I bought four pairs of them at the price of $26. Anyone else get a notice? I have not.
These are the headphones with an updated price of $43.
But, apparently, Custom seized $2M worth of counterfeit glock magazines.
Headline: Some Chicago gangs turning to rifles for added firepower, police say
Yeah, it went from a whopping 3 in one month to 9 two months later.
Imagine, if you changed what this guy is doing from “fire” to “firearm”, what the NY Times would be writing.
Actual headline: Court says a gun’s looks matter more than its function (yes, really)
While the law is an ass, I would think the government had better shit to do than this:
The White House said Thursday it expects law enforcement agents to enforce federal marijuana laws when they come into conflict with states where recreational use of the drug is permitted.
“I do believe you will see greater enforcement of it,” White House press secretary Sean Spicer said regarding federal drug laws, which still list marijuana as an illegal substance.
That’s a reversal from the Obama administration’s stance, which laid out in an official memo that the federal government wouldn’t interfere in states where nonmedical use of marijuana is allowed.
Marijuana is still banned at the federal level. And the feds still enforce law. I guess this could be the path to seeing it repealed at the federal level.
Apparently, the heads of Lego figures are .40 caliber. So, you knew someone was going to try to shoot with them right?
The Trace is asking if the AR-15 is a weapon of war. As evidence, the show a youtube of Jerry Miculek breaking a world record with 5 shots, 5 targets in one second.
Surprise. It’s a Sig P320. Also, rumor on the local boards is that the Oak Ridge Police Department recently switched to them.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
