More flashlight blogging
Sunday, September 20th, 2015From NJT. I know a lot of people carry one every day. I never have, I use the phone’s flashlight app. But that one looks small enough.

Tam notes a way to improve a Surefife. Sebastian wants a light he can completely operate with one hand. I’ve got a few old school Surefire G2s that I keep on hand for work use. I like them fine. I also still dig the Lifegear four pack. The large light is good for lighting up […]
Streamlight Introduces High Lumen Portable Scene Light
A good tip.
500 lumens from AA batteries. Nice.
1600-Lumen LED Convex Lens Zoom Flashlight for $40. Seen at Instapundit. I also got my Lifegear four pack of flashlights in. Let me tell you, a 700 lumen strobe in the back yard is impressive. More later.

From Tam.
The wiz has a comparison of $9 Sipik v. the Fenix PD20 as every day carry lights. While the $9 light in no way compares to my Surefires or Streamlights, it’s definitely worth the $9 as a throwaway light. I have four. I gave two to the kids and put two in some go bags.
And a deal alert. After a tip from reader Andy, I picked up four of these Focus Zoom Lens Cree Q3 Flashlight Torch Light Lamp, which are now on sale for $9. I got mine at $18, darn it. These are well worth the money. Light, durable and the one handed zoom is slick. Also, […]
Wizard has a review of the Fenix PD20, a light for every day carry.
Bright, shiny and cheap.
After yesterday’s flashlight blogging, some recommended the 4Sevens Preon 2. Looks to have the same features but about half the price.
WizardPC has a bleg for an every day carry light. Shooting Illustrated has a review of the Brite Strike EPLI (Executive Precision Lighting Instrument). I’m interested in this one for a few reasons: It’s small. They out put of 160 lumens on high is pretty darn good. And, most importantly, it takes AAA batteries and […]
Tam upgrades. I’m in the same boat. Most of my tacticool flashlights are the older models that eat batteries.
Les reviews Streamlight PT 2AA Flashlight with C4 LED
Les Jones has thoughts on using a flashlight with a handgun. A lot more from Carteach Various techniques here.
Les Jones: What’s the New Hotness in Tactical LED Flashlights?
Curt looks at a Coleman 90 lumen light.
Sebastian reviews the Fenix LD10. My past flashlight blogging is here.
Kevin has a post about the Insight M3X tactical light that he won at the second amendment blog bash.
Via a thread at ar15.com on flashlight advice, comes word of a 200 lumen flashlight at Home Depot for $25.
Les Jones, who suffers severe flashlight addiction, reviews the Nitecore Defender Infinity flashlight. Bonus: It takes AA batteries! Past flashlight blogging here, here, and here.
In an impressive update to my flashlight post, a hell of a recommendation by Unix-Jedi. Behold the 220 lumen, 4 hour run time (8 on half power) OLIGHT T20. Those are some impressive specs.
Les Jones is flashlight blogging: A Maglite is a gateway drug to a serious flashlight addiction. Surefires, Streamlights and Fenixes are the hard stuff. I’ve got one of each now and I’m still looking for the perfect light. Heh.
I like to do the occasional flashlight blogging. Via email, a TK Monster 15K lumen flashlight exploded. It took out a sliding glass door. Ouch.
More flashlight blogging. It’s a topic I do on occasion. Some goodies I found: Pretty cool: A couple of reasonably priced 900 lumen flashlights here and here. If you need more oomph or want to summon the mother ship, here’s a 2,600 lumen rechargeable. And if those aren’t good enough and you want to keep […]
More flashlight blogging. Leapers 200 lumen flashlight with mount and pressure switch for under $50.
Flashlight blogging. As Les said: A Maglite is a gateway drug to a serious flashlight addiction. I have two flashlights. One is for the home and one is for the truck. For home use, I like the Surefire G2 Nitrolon. It’s lightweight and has a conveniently located on button on the rear. Push on and […]
Les Jones, who is no longer blogging, once said something to the effect of A Mag Light is a gateway drug to a serious flashlight addiction. Well, I think this guy has reached peak addiction.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
