And a deal alert. After a tip from reader Andy, I picked up four of these Focus Zoom Lens Cree Q3 Flashlight Torch Light Lamp, which are now on sale for $9. I got mine at $18, darn it. These are well worth the money. Light, durable and the one handed zoom is slick. Also, it takes one standard AA battery and not any odd battery size. The light is brighter than my Surefires and my Streamlights. It also has points around the bezel which protect the light and can be used as a weapon in a pinch. It’s small and can easily be carried in a pocket. I picked up four, one for the wife’s car, one for me and I gave each of the kids one.

I ordered one yesterday. I’m hoping that it will be comparable to the $50 PD20, because then I’ll just buy a ton of those cheap ones and give them away as presents.

I bought a $10 1 AA battery LED flashlight from Meritline about a year ago. It died within a week.
Never tried sending it back.

Can you elaborate a little on the controls of this? Mainly if it’s on/off, low/high/off, low/high/strobe/etc?

Awesome deal, just one question: why is it $8.99 for 1, but $26.99 for 2? Makes no sense to me.
