A woman who accidentally shot herself in the eye on New Years Day at her Lake Michigan home was adjusting the handgun in her bra holster, police say.
St. Joseph Public Safety detectives are still waiting on the full autopsy report in the death of Christina Bond, 55, but released the new details to the Kalamazoo Gazette on Wednesday.
“She was having trouble adjusting her bra holster, couldn’t get it to fit the way she wanted it to. She was looking down at it and accidentally discharged the weapon,” said St. Joseph Public Safety Director Mark Clapp.
I wonder if it was a Flash Bang holster? They’re the only bra holsters I know of. It helps to use a real holster and to also not point a gun at your eye.
And some day, yours will too. Two good ways to be prepared are to either have ample spare part of wear items or have other guns. Heck, I think you should have a few copies of the same carry gun:
That’s our job.
Some butthurt in NYC over the national reciprocity bill that, according to The NY Daily “News”, covers “concealed-carry privileges”. Even Chuck Schumer (D-ranged) chimes in:
“This bill is a menace to New York and would allow potentially dangerous people from other states to carry concealed weapons in our grocery stores, movie theaters and stadiums, without even notifying the police,” Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) told the Daily News.
“It is a nightmare for our law enforcement officers and the community, and I will fight this legislation tooth and nail.”
What about the potentially dangerous people from your own state that are already there? Why would anyone think that notifying the police made a difference? I’ll never understand yankee politicians.
They used to pay lip service to gun owners. But to free Colorado, the democrats must be voted out.
Shall sign for NFA up for a hearing.
A few years ago, you’d likely not have seen NRA even mentioning something like this.
The EPA bans wood-burning stoves:
It seems that even wood isn’t green or renewable enough anymore. The EPA has recently banned the production and sale of 80 percent of America’s current wood-burning stoves, the oldest heating method known to mankind and mainstay of rural homes and many of our nation’s poorest residents.
In a Marine Corps first, the service recently added a Glock pistol to its list of authorized individual weapons, optics and modular attachments.
However, the 9mm semi-automatic Glock 19 pistol is officially approved for use only by personnel assigned to Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command, according to a force-wide message issued in mid-February. In fact, the pistol will carry a non-Marine inventory number because it is a U.S. Special Operations Command asset, according to the message.
I wonder why the 19 over the 17? Seems to me concealment wouldn’t be a primary concern.
Bloomberg said that we should restrict guns to minorities. Then, he asked everyone not to release any video and they complied. But here’s the audio.

Seems a vendor at the local university mistakenly sent out an alert involving a gun. For the second time.
It’s about controlling you. Not your guns.
Get a collectible flintlock, get ten years:
Simone reported that Gordon was arrested last November while heading home after lunch. A Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputy pulled over Gordon for a traffic violation, but wanted to search his car. Upon discovering a flintlock pistol in the glove compartment, VanGilder said that another deputy wanted to let him go since he knew the firearm was an antique. The Sheriff disagreed. VanGilder was arrested the following morning, and faces up to ten years in prison; three and a half to five years of that sentence must be served before parole can be considered.
How’s Chris Christie on guns?
Hey, let’s give an over powered handgun to a newbie for the lulz:
Thankfully, the victim here didn’t shoot himself. This woman wasn’t so lucky.
In response to an article from a clickbait site that entitled: Embarrassing: The U.S. Is Ranked 182nd In The World Alphabetically
Me: ‘Murica, however, is number one.
I don’t really get it:
I especially don’t get the one that you “draw” by pushing it out the bottom a about 2:25.
Update: I didn’t notice at first but someone else did. The holster apparently chambers a round so you can carry with no chambered round for whatever reason.

I mean, I remember all that research the press did into Obama’s schooling. Oh, wait.
The entire “armor piercing” ammo law was based on a lie, and if the left really wants to see the shooting sports get greener, shouldn’t they agree to let us make, sell, and acquire ammunition with steel cores and other materials that make good and reasonable substitutes for lead? We can call it the “Green Ammunition Act of 2016.”
So, ATF is trying to ban common ammo because law enforcement safety. David Hardy thinks it’s a legal stretch.
And the Obama admin is pushing to come up with ways to regulate drones.
No law required. Just make regulations. This is why our government is broken and inherently anti-freedom.
A while back, I noted they were taking comments and this usually precedes some new regulation. Well, looks like I was right:
In a move clearly intended by the Obama Administration to suppress the acquisition, ownership and use of AR-15s and other .223 caliber general purpose rifles, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives unexpectedly announced today that it intends to ban commonplace M855 ball ammunition as “armor piercing ammunition.” The decision continues Obama’s use of his executive authority to impose gun control restrictions and bypass Congress.
It isn’t even the third week of February, and the BATFE has already taken three major executive actions on gun control. First, it was a major change to what activities constitute regulated “manufacturing” of firearms. Next, BATFE reversed a less than year old position on firing a shouldered “pistol.” Now, BATFE has released a “Framework for Determining Whether Certain Projectiles are ‘Primarily Intended for Sporting Purposes’ Within the Meaning of 18 U.S.C. 921(a)(17)(c)”, which would eliminate M855’s exemption to the armor piercing ammunition prohibition and make future exemptions nearly impossible.
Meanwhile, gun nuts gonna gun nut. Everybody panic!
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
