Gun Porn

A democrat walks into a gay bar and kills 50 people. He disregarded the fact it was a gun free zone.
He declared his allegiance to ISIS and had previously been investigated by the FBI.
He was also a licensed security guard. Who, no doubt, passed background checks.
But one more gun law ought to do it.
What she said.
CNN:
Retired U.S. Army Gen. David Petraeus, who has long resisted calls to run for political office, is teaming up with retired NASA astronaut Mark Kelly to create a new group urging greater gun control.
The two announced on Friday that they were launching Veterans Coalition for Common Sense to encourage elected leaders to “do more to prevent gun tragedies.” The group will feature veterans from every branch of the military who are urging lawmakers to toughen gun laws, the organization said in a news release.
Well, OK.
“As service members, each of us swore an oath to protect our Constitution and the homeland. Now we’re asking our leaders to do more to protect our rights and save lives,” said Kelly, the husband of former Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and co-founder of Americans for Responsible Solutions, a group that advocates for tougher gun laws.
Oh, you did? I see what an oath means to you.
While I was out, the 9th Circuit ruled on Peruta:
“The right of a member of the general public to carry a concealed firearm in public is not, and never has been, protected by the Second Amendment,” the court said in its summary, which can be seen in full here.
“Therefore, because the Second Amendment does not protect in any degree the right to carry concealed firearms in public, any prohibition or restriction a state may choose to impose on concealed carry including a requirement of ‘good cause,’ however defined is necessarily allowed by the Amendment,” it continued.
“There may or may not be a Second Amendment right for a member of the general public to carry a firearm openly in public, but the Supreme Court has not answered that question.”
As is the case in rulings that go against civil rights, the court had to misrepresent some things.
Amazon Video has a neat feature where if you hover over the computer screen, it will give you little tidbits of info about the movie you’re watching. I decided to use this feature while watching Deadpool (which is one of the greatest movies of all time, btw). And this error came up (click to embiggen):
Obvious to anyone who knows some: Liberals, Not Conservatives, Express More Psychoticism
The US Department of Defense (DoD) will downselect a total of three preferred bidders in the third quarter of 2016 as its Modular Handgun System (MHS) programme continues on course despite recent calls to replace the effort with a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution.
In April, US Army Chief of Staff General Mark Milley suggested procuring 9×19 mm Glock 19 handguns to replace legacy Beretta M9 handguns instead of a more complicated modified solution in line with the MHS original solicitation. The total programme could comprise a requirement for up to 500,000 weapon systems destined to equip army, navy, and air force personnel as well as the US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).
As to which guns are possibilities:
Entrants are understood to include Beretta’s APX, Cesk zbrojovka’s CZ P-09, FN Herstal’s Five-Seven Mk 2, General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GDOTS) and Smith & Wesson’s M&P polymer handgun; the Glock 17 and 22; and Sig Sauer’s P320. However, sources informed IHS Jane’s that the DoD had yet to make a final decision regarding calibre of the MHS, although 9×19 mm and .40 calibre appear to be favourites at the moment.
.40s and the FiveSeven in that list. Thought they would stick with El Nino.
Bloomberg has bought up all the ad time in Nevada to push for a gun control measure on the ballot.
And Obama saying he’s never advocated confiscating guns is a bit funny. He’s just endorsed the idea but never said that.
They’ve hitched their wagon to the Trump train, more accurately the not-Hillary train. And they’re non too happy with Clinton’s position on the Civil Right Victory in Heller:
The New York article describes a scene at a Clinton campaign rally at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. While speaking with a family that lost a loved one in the Sandy Hook shooting, Clinton tells them of her plans for gun control. During this interaction, Clinton described Heller as a terrible decision. According to the article, Clinton also explained that she has already discussed gun control with Chuck Schumer, who will likely be leading the Senate Democrats in 2017.
Back on September 25, 2015, Hillary Clinton attended a private fundraiser in Greenwich Village, New York City. An audio recording of the event captured Clinton telling those gathered, the Supreme Court is wrong on the Second Amendment. And I am going to make that case every chance I get.
And the gun control lobby has endorsed Hillary.
Katie Couric’s producers repeatedly violated federal gun laws. I’m sure they’ll get the David Gregory treatment.

Donald Trump is the response to a bullying culture. And a politically correct culture.
Got word that Ray Carter has passed away. I never met the man in the real world. But I’m familiar with his work on gun rights and gay rights. We’ve lost a good one.
His website is here.
But he’s in NY: Husband facing assault charges for beating would-be rapist to death with tire iron
Undercover police superstar. And, also, a look back to how people carried guns before they got the internet. Or something.
I like Raven Concealment, and they are my plastic holster of choice. They’ve come out with a new optic mount for handguns that doesn’t require you to drill or tap your gun’s slide:
As you may or may not be able to see, the mount replaces the slide cover plate and slides into the rear sight slot. Maybe this is better:
Innovative idea.
Well, Obama has been gun salesman of the year for 7 years. But if you want to thank someone for the increasing popularity of AR-15s, thank Bill Clinton:
When Martin KA Morgan was a kid in the 1970s, military-style rifles were only a small sliver of the firearms market in the United States.
Demand was quite low, he said. There was only lukewarm interest in these kinds of guns among consumers.
More than twenty years later, Morgan said, American firearm ownership has been radically transformed. Semi-automatic, magazine-fed rifles they dominate the market, he said.
My overwhelming impression is that the 1994 Clinton crime bill created this new world where everyone owns a AR-15 type rifle, Morgan said in an interview.
Thanks, Bill!
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
