ATF and guns in Mexico
As Sen. Charles Grassley and congressional investigators looked into the Fast and Furious operation and the killing of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, ATF officials took steps to throw them off the trail.

92 dead. Shooting lasted for an hour and a half. Took the police 40 minutes to get there. His weapon was referred to as a ‘machine pistol’. Pundits are already playing the game of pin the convenient political ideology on the nutjob.
Some are blaming gun control.
Calls for gun control, of course.
Neither would have made a difference.
The thing that gets me is that this man shot people for an hour and a half. And the people getting shot didn’t stop him? There were 82 of them. I’m not sure I understand how that could happen.
A few folks who’ve been quite successful tell me that the biggest threat to gun rights are bad lawsuits. They continue to be right:
Leonard Embody Gets Court to Declare Public Parks (!!!!) are “Sensitive Places” under Heller.
I know Leonard is trying to do what he thinks is right. But let’s leave that to the experts.
That a mayor would talk to her constituents like that. Can’t blame people for leaving the city.
And how I said they should be separate from real guns? Well, now I think making them in common calibers is also a mistake:
Central Precinct Officer Dane Reister mistakenly fired four live rounds at Monroe from a less-lethal shotgun, striking him in the hip with five buckshot pellets.
The accusations imply that Obama is on our side. Or was on our side. And that the right wing is pushing him around.
But the evidence is clear that Obama is an often-willing servant of corporate interests — not someone reluctantly doing their bidding, or serving their interests only because Republicans forced him to.
Hey, do me a favor. Head over to this FB poll and vote for Shooting Illustrated. I’m partial. I write for them.
Bob says the Inspector General opened an investigation into whether or not the DOJ illegally retaliated against one of the agents that revealed the gunwalking plot.
A while back, some smart cracker told you something he learned: Do not try to catch a dropped gun.
Along that same line, comes another bit of advice that may save your life:
Don’t try and catch the round you’re ejecting. Don’t put your hand over the ejection port. Keep your hand away from it and let the round fall on the ground. It will be there when you get ready to pick it up, I promise.
I have never seen it happen but I’m not gonna risk it. Don’t die for pennies.
TSA loses naked scanners. This is not any sort of victory. But it does show their utter contempt for the people that they didn’t do this to begin with. Now, about that radiation threat?
Sort of like this idea. But I’m not a fan of mounting on it on your totally lethal AR. Looks like an accident waiting to happen.
Jay waxes about how some songs take you back in time. Some times, they surprise you. My wife’s car has XM radio. When it plays a song, it displays on the screen information about that song. I was kinda bummed do discover that this song turns 20 this year.
Having rid Knox County of all crime, the crackdown on gambling continues.
Chris Cox sits down with Chuck Canterbury, National President, Fraternal Order Of Police. I used to regularly send money to FOP. But in 2004, they supported extending the ban on weapons that look like assault weapons. They’ve not got a dime since. I wish someone would ask them about that.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
