Run background checks too
Senate proposed bill requiring you to show photo ID before voting. We should run background checks on people too and charge a $10 fee.

Two mass knife attacks this week. And a carjacking in Memphis with knives and machetes.
We need an assault knife ban!
In yesterday’s post, I got caught up in the legalities of the wallet holster. I’m glad someone else addresses why it’s a bad design for reasons other than legal concerns.
In Tennessee, the police aren’t supposed to do that anymore. Nashville police are just going to keep them, I suppose indefinitely. They don’t want to sell them for fear they’ll end up back on the street. If you sell them lawfully to a dealer who will then run background checks, then what’s the issue?
Why do honest Americans—private citizens and police alike—choose magazines that hold more than 10 rounds? Quite simply, they improve good people’s odds in defensive situations.
I’m figuring US News picked the title of the article. Because Chris Cox wouldn’t call them “clips”.
Hamline Law School Tax Law Professor filed no state tax returns from 2003 to 2007, told tax cops she “didn’t understand tax law”.
They have mass stabbings. Clearly, we need to ban assault knives. That’s two this week.
Rich:
Only in America can a President announce a budget that adds 7.5 trillion dollars to the National debt over 10 years and have his lapdogs in the media call it 1.1 trillion dollars in debt reduction.
Sort of like how every time a state proposes a budget. And in that budget, there’s an increase in spending of 3%. But they were expecting an increase of 6%. So, they call that a cut. Because they’re retarded. Or think you are.
Shooting at Middle Tennessee State University. This could not happen, guns are banned on campus.
I’ve never had anything but good experiences with the three sets of CrimsonTrace Lasergrips I own. The duck reports their customer service is great too.
ATF says that a wallet holster with a hole to fire the weapon makes the gun an Any Other Weapon subject to the NFA process. If you look closely in this pic from an Ebay listing you can see a holster (just under the boobs):
It’s made by HolsterPro, who has some videos up about the holster. If you order one, you’ll likely have to register your handgun as an AOW and go through the NFA process. You don’t register holsters, despite common internet gun board wisdom.
I read this a number of years ago and haven’t thought much of it since. But here’s a case of a man using his lawful NFA machine gun in self-defense.
Zing: Either way, the BATFE’s desire to mandate reporting of multiple long gun sales by border area firearms dealers is questionable since BATFE seems incapable of managing the criminal leads it already has and unwilling to submit to constitutionally mandated Congressional oversight.
State discrimination against legal aliens subject to strict scrutiny, in case of legal resident wanting a carry permit.
I wonder which Larry Pratt will opine on the case?
So, what do you do when your accuser is dead:
The WBAL-TV 11 News I-Team has learned that Baltimore police and transportation officials are trying to correct a problem with about 2,000 red light camera citations that may bear the signature of a police officer who is dead.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
