For consistency, let’s apply it to all rights
Apply background checks for gun purchases to voting
And why not speech or religion?

I wonder why:
CIA Director Mike Pompeo said documents retrieved from the 2011 Navy Seal raid that killed Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden would be released in “weeks”with the exception of one particular part of the haul, his pornography stash.
Is it because it’s bizarre or because it’s release might be distribution of something illegal?
US Customs stole a man’s truck because he forgot about some ammo in his glove box. He’s not been charged with a crime.
This is a good start but it needs to go further:
The Republican-led House of Representatives approved three amendments to a large spending bill Tuesday that would attempt to block Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ civil asset forfeiture directive.
In July, Sessions announced he was ending restrictions put in place by former attorney general Eric Holder on when federal law enforcement could “adopt” asset forfeiture cases from state and local police.
.338 Semiautomatic Sniper Rifle. Cool. But I’m not quite certain why the AFG is located in that odd location.
A while back I mentioned the case of a police officer who was on a murder rap and his AR-15 ejection cover was engraved with “You’re fucked”. And pondered if it was a good idea or not.
Well, the judge said that the engraving will not be revealed to the jury. I’m sure they’d do the same if this was Non-officer Bubba and his home built AR with a skull lower had a similar engraving on it, right?
The bidding started at $40,000, and went sky high from there.
The prize?
A Thompson Model 1921 submachine gun that was purchased by the Tuscarawas County Sheriffs Office on May 13, 1934, and is no longer used.
After several minutes of spirited bidding Monday evening at the Tuscarawas County Justice Center, the weapon was sold for $90,000 – significantly higher than its appraised value of $37,000. The winning bid was placed by Ryan Armstrong of Dover, who was bidding for an anonymous purchaser.
Here’s the bill. If you scroll down to here, you will see the following:

So reports one congressman. The reason is “the timing isn’t right”. The timing is likely right when they know it will not pass to offer it up to pander to their base.
The city of Sacramento, apparently:
After a violent weekend of suspected gang-related shootings, Tuesday the Sacramento City Council took action to reduce the bloodshed.
It approved a controversial program called Advance Peace, which offers cash stipends to gang members who remain peaceful.
Just an excuse to listen to this:
ATF has released its report on Firearms Commerce (pdf file). The data on page 15 I found interesting as it ranked guns and NFA items by state ownership.
And NFA items, in general, show a steady increase in sales.
Dan Gross is out at the Brady Campaign To Remain Relevant. Maybe he knows the group has been overshadowed by Bloomberg’s angry mommies.
Again, it’s hip for anti-gun people to argue the whole bogus militia collective right nonsense. We’ve already had the debate. You lost now get over it.
Not the gun control lies fed to us by Bloomberg and Brady: NRA Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program Reaches 30 Million
The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security improperly spent more than $100,000 in asset forfeiture funds on catering and banquet tickets over the last two years, according to a report released Thursday by the Department of Justice’s inspector general.
The inspector general reported that between 2014 and 2016, the Tennessee agency spent $112,614 in asset forfeiture funds on catering, luncheon, retail food, and banquet tickets, all of which are not allowable expenses under the Justice Department’s guidelines for its equitable sharing program.
Asset forfeiture is a scam and should require conviction.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
