A concealed magazine carrier that makes it look like you’re carrying a pocket knife.
Researchers claim 3 gun controls would stop 90% of gun deaths:
The three measures linked to substantial drops in firearms-related deaths were: universal background checks for firearms sales, background checks on those buying ammunition, and a requirement that gun owners get their firearms microchipped or fingerprinted for identification purposes.
Uh huh. Sure thing, sparky.
A flashlight with bluetooth that can connect to your phone. Because reasons.
A cell phone shaped .380 handgun. Silliness aside, wouldn’t that be an AOW?
Korean special forces 1911. With rail and red dot.
A senate committee defeated the proposal. The governor lauded them for it.
Ugh:
A Florida woman who runs a pro-gun Facebook page told deputies her 4-year-old son shot her in the back while he was sitting in the back seat of her pickup truck.
A Putnam County Sheriffs Office news release says a deputy saw 31-year-old Jamie Gilt of Jacksonville behaving frantically inside the truck Tuesday afternoon and quickly realized shed been shot.
Corrections officer was trying out a tactical concealed carry shirt to see if his gun fit. And his gun went off. No, that’s how the press would usually report it. This time, they told the truth:
Police said Johnson had a concealed pistol and wanted to see how it fit the shirt. They allege that he pulled the trigger, sending a bullet through his sweat shirt on a fitting room bench, and then abandoned both items of clothing in another fitting room.
So, Donald Trump displayed a bunch of steaks, vodka, wine and other such items from failed businesses that bore his name. The press marveled out how he was marketing his wares. Except most of those items are no longer for sale because the companies went out of business. Go ahead and try to buy some of the steaks.
Interesting analysis by Sebastian. I’m not certain why the evangelical vote is going for Trump, since Cruz, as Sebastian points out, is tailor made for them. But that does mean that they don’t just vote their religion, which people presumed was Romney’s undoing. This will election will be interesting. A clusterfuck. But an interesting clusterfuck.
But you’re not this badass: Stabbing victim pulls knife out of own neck, kills terrorist
Not just for hitman. Despite the silly headline, it’s a decent look at the increase in popularity in suppressors and a, mostly, factual presentation of what they actually do:
The U.S. gun industry is trying to shake off the Hollywood hitman image of the gun silencer and rebrand it as a hearing-protection device in a campaign to roll back regulations that date to the 1930s.
Industry lobbying has led to more than a dozen states legalizing silencers for hunting since 2011. Now gun advocates are pressing Congress to repeal a Depression-era law that requires a months-long screening process for silencer buyers – far more scrutiny than gun buyers face.
A judge denied a preliminary injunction against DC carry laws:
U.S. District Court Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly has ruled that the plaintiffs in a suit seeking to bar the District from enforcing its concealed-carry regulations “have not met their burden of showing a likelihood of success on the merits” in a motion for a preliminary injunction. The ruling in effect upholdsfor nowD.C.’s “good reasoning” licensing scheme.
The plaintiffs have also not shown that an injunction would be “in the public interest,” Kollar-Kotelly writes in a 31-page order released on Monday. While they have successfully proven that “reasonable” qualification rules for firearm permits could pose an “irreparable harm” to their Second Amendment rights, the plaintiffs have not convincingly argued that it outweighs D.C.’s interest in keeping residents and visitors safe.
Sounds fancy but don’t get too excited. It’s basically a gun that shoots a net:
We already have a version of this but a bill to make the “no gun” signs consistent.
The senate passed a bill to prohibit colleges from punishing students for having guns in their vehicles.
And a bill to give National Guard members with carry permits civil immunity and a legal defense if they use their guns in self defense. This is a response to the terrorist attacks in Chattanooga.
Sanders calls out Clinton for bullshit position on the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act. The NRA even agreed with Sanders.
I mean, cutting down on the voter fraud and all: Fewer Democrats Are Voting This Year In (Surprise!) States With Strict New Voter Laws
Some special snowflake gets triggered at the sight of a small knife. Remember when it was not a big deal to carry a knife? I carried one in high school and even, on occasion, loaned it to my teachers.
The “assault weapons” case is going before the full court:
A three-judge panel last month sided with gun-rights advocates when, for the first time, it determined that owning semiautomatic firearms such as AR-15s and AK-47s amounts to a “fundamental right” deserving the highest level of protection under the Constitution.
“In our view, Maryland law implicates the core protection of the Second Amendment — the right of law-abiding responsible citizens to use arms in defense of hearth and home,” wrote Chief Judge William Traxler in the divided ruling.
But in a brief order Friday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit effectively wiped out that earlier decision and agreed to rehear the case “en banc,” which means all the judges in active service on the court — 15 in total — will hold a hearing jointly and decide the case anew.
The court set oral arguments in the case, known as Kolbe v. Hogan, for May 11.
I’m guessing, since it is MD, this is not a good development.
Well, I did not know they made these. Keeps STDs (Sh*t, Trash, and Debris) out of your barrel.
. . . it turns out most of the prosecutions are in New York City, and are for unlicensed handgun possession, a crime before the SAFE Act but which the SAFE Act raised from a misdemeanor to a felony.
Gun control: What you do instead of something.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
