Where Great Britain Used To Be

Males over 9 banned from playground because all men are pervs. You know, when that place finally goes tango uniform, I’m going to miss New Castle.

Stories like this belong in The Onion not reality.

  2. Barron Barnett Says:

Because you know, no women ever prey upon children.

  3. Jeff the Baptist Says:

Did you read the article? The center serves the “asian” community, which in Britain means Pakistanis. So they’re forbidding the men (and older boys) not because they’re automatically assumed to be pervs but so that the mostly female clientele don’t have to wear burkas, etc. It’s similar in principle to the all-female shopping malls operated in Saudi Arabia.

    Your title says it all!

If you have a problem with a private company making it’s own rules for it willing customers, and think the government should step in to enforce fairness, despite having no interest in ever patronizing the business regardless of their rules, you might be a fascist.

  6. Brice Says:

Mail Online is a British tabloid, like the rags you see in the checkout line. Story probably 99% fake.

  7. Rob Crawford Says:

“dustydog” made a running leap to his conclusion, there. Where did anyone call for government interference?

    @2

Some of those cases are victimless crimes.

  9. NotClauswitz Says:

India and Pakistan boys and girls over that age aren’t allowed to play together for fear they will play “Doctor” and subsequent to that encounter it would radically drive-up the cost of the girl’s Dowry (to get her married-off).
In some cases/families that might result in a fatal “accident” to the girl, especially if the Dowry caused impoverishment to the Menfolk of the family, not just the shame and scandal.

Well, New Castle is running a “no bollocks” ad campaign. Perhaps it was meant as a double entendre.

  11. Bubblehead Les Says:

It seems to me that the Play Centre is in Full Compliance with the Law.

Too Bad it’s Sharia Law, not English Common Law….

  12. Gerry Says:

And now Jethro Tull with Aqualung!

  13. Rivrdog Says:

Yeah, well, I missed White Castle when I moved out West, but I got over it.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
