SHOT Blogger Meet

For those nobodies, Kevin is having a meet up.

Sadly, I won’t make it this year. This being underemployed with no permanent gig thing sucks.

Two posts in a row inspired by my comments!

Ok, let’s try for a third: ExurbanKevin wants a new Bugatti Veyron, so give him all your money!

    *crickets*

Oh well, it was worth a try… 🙂

Sorry you can’t make it. Maybe next year!

  2. SayUncle Says:

    I want the Bugatti.

  3. countertop Says:

    when did you become underemployed?

  4. countertop Says:

I’m over employed, but have no money either.

  5. Bubblehead Les Says:

I’d love to go to the SHOT Show, but A) I’d have to Fly and deal with the TSA, and B) having gotten Married in Vegas, the Wife would be mad because she has to stay home and work and miss out on a second Honeymoon, and C) Me? Alone in Vegas? That’s like taking a case of Jack into an AA meeting. ; )

  6. Kevin Baker Says:

Yeah, when did you become underemployed? I thought you were an Evil Minion of Big Ooooooiiiiilllll!

I couldn’t go because I’m broke and haven’t accumulated any vacation time yet.

  7. DirtCrashr Says:

Tell me about it! I missed GBR, and it’s just a drive up the hill. 🙁

  8. Bryan S. Says:

Was supposed to be going with a buddy of mine this year, he has connections to an airsoft store and importer, which gets him in, and I have an FFL so…

But being a single income family again puts a crimp in that.

  9. Bryan S. Says:

Next year, if we are both there Unc, I’ll buy you a beer.

  10. DirtCrashr Says:

I’d love to go to SHOT but I hate Vegas more than Reno even, so I don’t really care but it’s nicew to meet friends.
Meanwhile how many “friends” does the GunsAmerica Blogger have? Facebook anyone?

  11. Chas Clifton Says:

I hate to fly — not the flying, but the on-the-ground hassle — and I have always avoided Las Vegas, but an outdoor-writer friend twisted my arm to go with him this year, just for the sheer spectacle of it all.

And it’s kind of a kick to go to a conference or trade show where I don’t have to make a sale, make a purchase, get a must-have interview, preside over a session, etc. Just have a good time–what a concept.

  12. Chas Clifton Says:

Just to comment on my own post: I will be blogging about the SHOT Show. I was just comparing the experience to when I was a newspaper outdoor columnist and/or a freelance outdoor writer and had to get certain stories, fill certain spaces in the publication, and so on. With a blog, you can be more serendipitous.

  13. BalloonGoesUp Says:

The reason you can’t go is the reason I can 😉

  14. Skip Says:

    1. Feet can’t take it.
    2. Casa Grande shoot the next weekend.
    3. My boss say’s I HAVE to hang the new curtains…sigh.

  15. ExurbanKevin Says:

Casa Grande shoot is the weekend after the weekend after SHOT, Skip, on the 29th. And I saved up a year’s worth of honey-dos for this and FrontSight.

See you out on Elsy Pearson!

  16. Kevin Baker Says:

I’ll see you both there! (Hope there’s more than three of us!)

  17. John Rau Says:

I am sorry to hear that! Hopefully you will get new job soon.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
