Dumb laws for dumb people

The one or two anti-gun activists in Tennessee were trying to say that not posting a no guns sign created an occupational hazard. So the TN senate passed a bill clarifying what would be obvious to anyone who is not retarded.

We’re winning

Gun control not getting traction:

The left has permanently lost the argument on gun control. Despite their best efforts to take advantage of the tragic shooting in Arizona to promote pointless restrictions on things like the size of handgun magazines, the propaganda campaign is unlikely to go anywhere. Instead, the right to keep and bear arms continues to gain steam as state lawmakers around the country are enacting measures that would have been unthinkable not so long ago.

It’s not “the left”. There are anti-rights folks on the right as well. But the anti-gunners aren’t getting any useful mileage out of a recent tragedy, despite what the press parrots.

ATF walking guns to Mexico

A couple more news outlets pick up on the story. And note that feds have now raided the initial buyer of the gun used to kill an ICE agent. Little late there, fellas.

Constitutional Carry

Now, a push in Nevada.

Pan Flute

It’s not a bullet pan flute. It’s a shell casing pan flute. And you can make one.

This is pretty cool.

Driver plows through Critical Mass protest. Some times people snap.

Driver claims self defense. No, really.

I’m actually surprised something like this hasn’t happened sooner. The Critical Mass folks are known to be assholes, since the whole point of their protest is to shut down traffic. And people behind the wheel have been known to suffer road rage. Not a good combo.

A bill:

Any person who possesses a large capacity magazine shall be guilty of a class D felony.

Ok, then.

Wait, the schools have police?

Schools is facing budget cuts. The press is shocked that the school police are buying AR-15s, $130 belt buckles and $400 dress blouses. I’m more surprised that the schools actually have a police department.

Financial Terrorism

Expert says it could have played a role in the 2008 economic crash.

Killing the gun business

In Massachusetts, a bill would likely put their gun manufacturers out of business. I’ve never understood why gun companies are located behind enemy lines. But that could change, I guess.

More constitutional carry

If you had asked me five years ago if I thought we’d see a successful push for handgun carry without a license, I would have said no. But we’ve a few successes recently. And, now, two more pushes for it in Idaho and Colorado.

In Tennessee

Handgun carry permits hit 308,000.

Big Bullet-Blasting Boxes

I used to cringe whenever anti-gunners would make up some scary term for common guns or gun parts. Now, I just have a good laugh. All I have are regular Bullet-Blasting Boxes.

Backup Cameras

What happens when you’re ruled by bureaucratic fiat: Requiring back up cameras in all cars. Will cost $2B. It’s your money.
