For the record

The president not mentioning gun control is apparently big news, to the dismay of the press and the anti-gunners (but I repeat myself). We’re winning.

    It’s not the words, but the deeds. Why say anything when you’ll just tell one of your Czars to issue an Edict? How much speechifyin’ has Barry done on the Saiga 12 Gauge issue? But since it looks like the Batfeieio is testing the waters by trying to ban a “Weapon with no Hunting or Sporting use…”

    I had heard that Barry was gonna call for a new AWB or hi cap mag ban in his State of the Union, but I guess he’s gonna let lesser ones carry the water on new reactionary tyranny.

    Yeah, nothing last night, but now there is supposedly some big upcoming speech specifically on gun control:

    Unfortunately, the GOP is selling us out right now.

    From Ken’s cited link:

    “Staffers from the House Judiciary Committee will meet with Obama administration officials Thursday to examine the effectiveness of federal laws designed to keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill, according to a Republican aide with the panel.”

    Yes, this is a sellout. The Federal Government has NO “delegated powers” for gun control except within its very narrowly defined powers enumerated in Article I, Section 8.15-16:

    To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

    To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and FOR GOVERNING SUCH PART OF THEM AS MAY BE EMPLOYED in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;

    The 2nd Amendment’s reference to “militia” in its opening subordinate clause is synonomous with “the people” in its independent clause is a direct allusion to this specifically “restrictive” section on Federal Gov’t and “declarative” of the RIGHT of the people according to the Preamble to the Bill of Rights.

    Therefore ALL Fedreal laws pertaining to an armed citizenry are unconstitutional, illegal and tyrannical.

    BATFE doesn’t need encouragement from 1600 PA Ave to “crack down” on gun owners. Most of what I see coming out of the agencies is the wishlist of the permanent bureaucrats, not anyone else’s agenda. And that’s a problem.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
