Juan at a time

Juan Williams was fired by NPR because, well, he sounds like most people you or I know. I heard Juan on the radio this morning saying that he always thought the right was the intolerant, attack dog sort. And that he was wrong. This touches on a point that Kevin brought up on last night’s BB&Guns: For a liberal to lose faith, they have to suffer an emotional tragedy or injustice that totally throws their world view. And Juan is going through that.

Meanwhile, NPR won’t fire you for wishing your political opponent’s grandkids get AIDS.

Last night Fox News also showed 3 examples of NPR pundents saying some nasty hateful things about Christianity on the air and they were not fired either. He has got a rock solid lawsuit against them.

Heard Mara Liasson is also on the Hotseat at NPR because she appears on Fox. Looks like the DemiCommie Marxist Regime of the Anointed One has decided to do a “Party Purge”. Wonder what kind of Power Grab is being planned for the Lame Duck Session, and how the Ministry of Propaganda plans on selling it to the Masses?

I’ve said many times that when I disagree with the Libs here at the State University they don’t just say “You’re wrong!” – they want me fired, imprisoned, and my children sent to re-eduction camps. They get nasty.

Juan made the mistake of actually being a human being. Thus he violated the expectations of the extreme left intelligentsia. Funny how Fox New is more diverse than any of the other MSM companies you can name and much more diverse than NPR.

I’m definitely looking for candidates who are willing to pull NPR’s funding. Frankly, I’m tired of paying for one of the left’s biggest propaganda machines.

If Mara Liasson gets canned, NPR will have made an even bigger mistake. She’s got to be the smartest liberal I’ve ever listened too. I disagree with her politics, but she is logical and mature in all discussions. A rarity apparently on her side of the fence.

Ironically the view that so-called liberals avoid is that of classical liberalism…which was exemplified in people like Thomas Paine, Samuel Adams, Patrick Hnery and Thomas Jefferson. In fact, rarely if ever do we hear this view allowed among the mainstream liberal or conservative media.

The great and direct end of government is liberty. Secure our liberty and privileges, and the end of government is answered. If this be not effectually done, government is an evil.”– Patrick Henry, June 25, 1788, The Debates in the Several State Conventions on the Adoption of the Federal Constitution, (Virginia).

“The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil constitution are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.”– Samuel Adams, (1777)

Let’s face it–what he said was some seriously dumb shit. Not one of the 19 hijackers was wearing a turban, a beard, or any other typically Muslim garb. They looked just like anyone else by design. Oxford or rugby shirts, clean shaven, blending in.

You have the right to say dumb shit if you want to. You don’t have a case or a suit against your employer if they react to your dumb shit by saying “hey, we don’t want to be associated with people who say dumb shit”.

Props to the guy on this link’s comments who referenced NPR with
“Like the old saying goes, if you give a bum a dollar, he’ll beg tomorrow. If you help him write a grant proposal, he’ll beg for two weeks every year with the promise of free tote bags.”

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
