Handgun carry
Permit apps in Florida overwhelm the state.
If I understand this bizarre twist of absolute non-logic, it would seem that the Obama joker posters are racist because the Joker is urban; and urban means inner cities; and inner cities means black. So, anything urban must be racist. So, I have shoes. Shoes are worn by people in cities. My shoes are racist.
Racist is dead. Long live racist.
I would like to see the assault weapons ban reinstated – it’s not philosophical, it’s because of what we have seen on the ground…There is a direct correlation between the assault ban and expiring in 2004 and the numbers – simply the sheer numbers – of assault weapons that we seize in Mexico…We are both cognizant of what can and cannot be done right now – we will softly, diplomatically…continue to say that this is an important issue for us but I think the real perspectives of this moving on Capitol Hill these days are slim to say the least
Yes. Because not having rifles with bayonet lugs would save Mexico. You know what would keep US guns out of Mexico and Mexican grenades out of the US?
Seriously, the state regulates bees? Does that happen enough to warrant that?
Knife Rights reports that customs is backing off their ludicrous attempt at banning about 80% of folding knives from being imported.
The Second Amendment Foundation today filed a lawsuit on behalf of three residents of the District of Columbia and a New Hampshire resident, seeking to compel the city to issue carry permits to law-abiding citizens.
Joe: Paul Hemke is saying the defeat of the Thune Amendment helped prevent the Pittsburg shooting from being even worse:
No real point. Just wanted to use the headline. Seems they’re undergoing a DOS attack.
The new GI JOE stands for Globally Integrated Joint Operating Entity. And works for the UN. Weirdest thing to happen to GI Joe since he went from 12 inches to three.
Time is getting near for Gunblogger Rendezvous IV. Ridefast has a nice little round up of some of the sponsorships, people, and goodies that will be there.
I always knew that one could not get a transfer for a short-barreled rifle or shotgun in Alabama. Never really knew exactly why. It turns out, a short barreled shotgun is considered a weapon of mass death and destruction.
Ben Garrett on the FTC’s pending nationalized media:
Interpretation: Five million bloggers exercising their First Amendment right isn’t a good thing for American democracy.
under a law Congress passed last year aimed at regulating hazards in children’s products, the federal government has now advised that children’s books published before 1985 should not be considered safe and may in many cases be unlawful to sell or distribute. Merchants, thrift stores, and booksellers may be at risk if they sell older volumes, or even give them away, without first subjecting them to testing—at prohibitive expense.
The Mrs. collects children’s books. She has for years. It appears she’ll soon need a black market book dealer. HT to SIH who notes you need an interest group for everything.
Bernie Ellis had the TBI investigate him a bit back because our secretary of state, Tre Hargett, accused him of being a terrorist threat. TBI said there was nothing to it. Mr. Ellis recently headed to the legislative plaza for a meeting where he was detained. For being a terrorist. Odd how people who choose to voice opinion contrary are often branded as terrorists, kooks, and nuts. Just like Jeff Woods does.
At least he didn’t nut check R. Lee Ermey. I hear you get a free pistol if you do.
Some atheists are using a hair dryer to de-baptize themselves. I find that a bit odd since the atheist crowd tends to be down on the pomp and ceremony of religion.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
