Bjorn visits King Tut’s. Me and the Mrs. went there a few years back and I’ve been meaning to go again. The food is excellent.
Did you know that socialist is a code word for nigger? Me neither. It’s like someone is making shit up to really drive home that those joker posters are racist.
Reinhardt: After being burglarized, I’m considering packing heat
Probably better off if you’d done that before. No guarantee they’d heed your request to get out.
Looks like a ban is on the agenda for the county. The City (My the City) already passed such a ridiculous ban. I see thes ridiculousness getting pre-empted next year. HCP folks will have to start carrying around maps of where they can and can’t go if this keeps up.
Per an poll at CNN, 55% of it’s readers say town-hall protests over health care are being orchestrated by lobbyists. This tells me the average CNN reader couldn’t find his own ass with two hands and an ass map.
Meanwhile, here’s an actual craigslist ad:
DEFEND President Obama’s Health Care Plan over August Recess! $500+/wk (Capitol Hill)
Phil Valentine notes that, like every other state, an odd thing happened when Tennessee passed laws allowing carry in restaurants: nothing. Even though some tried really hard to say there was an incident.
Tomorrow, gubernatorial candidate Zach Wamp will be having a meet and greet over at Gunny’s range and gun shop.
A new strip club is going to open up in Nashville. The twist is that it’s going to be dudes juggling their naughty bits for women. And, I guess, maybe gay guys. Apparently, this bugs a councilman to the point where he is ill. Says the councilman:
It’s different for a man to show himself than a woman. It’s another step in the wrong direction.
And why is that? Naked women are OK and naked men aren’t? In terms of what I want to see, I do agree, which is why I won’t go to that strip club. But if some one wants to go check it out, I don’t see why it’s OK for one and not the other.
I’ve been critical of open carry sorts in the past. Not because I don’t think their cause is good but, rather, it does have some tactical disadvantages and some of the proponents seem a bit too in your face about it. Anyway, I recently stopped to grab some milk at a convenience store in West Knoxville. I neglected to put my shirt over my Glock 30 and went the store. I was carrying four gallons of milk when I realized my weapon was exposed. Then I went to Walmart a few weeks later and I apparently had reached up on the top shelf to get something and my shirt came up over the gun again. And I didn’t notice for a while. Saw it and covered it. But I’d been up and down several aisles. So, do doubt, I was made.
And a funny thing happened: nothing. Not a single person in either crowded store freaked out or said anything. Not a word. Not even employees.
Seems to be a trend.
Apparently, the assault weapons ban reduced deaths via suffocation and pointy things too.
Just wait.
Today, on the drive in, there was a Homeland Security van driving (really slowly, actually) through my subdivision. Odd, that.
I have a subscription to Guns Magazine. Definitely the best gun porn of the gun magazines. David reminds us that their contest is also available online. Cool.
Larry gets his first one star review, from someone who didn’t even read the book. Anyway, check out Monster Hunter International: It annoys hippies. I think that’s a good marketing campaign.
A bit back, I mentioned PayPal wouldn’t sell the raffle tickets for the ParaUSA GI Expert that was to benefit Project Valour.Well, Lucky Gunner has stepped up to to help sell the raffle tickets. Hats off to these guys. My next ammo purchase will be through them.

A couple of bloggers you may have heard of are there and writing about it. Robert peed with R. Lee Ermey. Which is cool. Probably not such a cool story if Breda did that.
The SEC has new rules regarding cell phones and such at games. With blogs and twitter, they fear coverage of their games won’t be doled out to their liking. Seems to me as though the SEC could turn this into a business of selling twitter or blog coverage.
Campfield is running for state senate. The lefty blogs will be fun to watch this year.
A first person shooter (half life) played with a real firearm.
I’ve often wondered why no one has come up with an IPSC or IDPA game for the Wii.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
