The terrorists we create

Said before the FBI doesn’t really thwart a terror plot if they mastermind it. Others seem to agree.

    I sure don’t feel sorry for him. It’s like a bait car that’s unlocked with the keys in it. Nobody twisted little Johnny Jihadi’s arm to do this.

  2. SayUncle Says:

    I’m not sympathetic to him either.

  3. John Smith. Says:

    There is a difference between feeling sorry for him and deploring the means that were used to catch him. They paid him 3000 dollars. They made him a real bomb to test. Then they made him a fake bomb to detonate 3/4’s of a mile from the target crowd. Let me compare it to the car entrapment. This would be like giving him money to steal the car. Giving him the keys. Then arresting him when he tries to drive off with it…. A very long legal stretch. If he gets a descent lawyer he will walk….

  4. Weer'd Beard Says:

    I’m especially geeked out by the fake bomb. If he assembled it and never once thought something was fishy with the dud bomb (ie he wasn’t double-checking what he was doing using a High-school chemistry book…which is a bounty for home bomb making if you use it that way…or various internet resources) then he didn’t really have the smarts to do it in the first place and would need a mastermind to instruct him. Given that the Mastermind would be the real target and the grunts are the small fish…and the FBI is the real target, this all seems like a house of cards.

    And in the end it has me siding with the America-Hating asshole who wants to kill women and kids. That SUCKS!

  5. MJM Says:

    I get your point; I just want them stopping these guys before they do commit the effective crime since, instead of knocking off a bank, (Or, if they are in Knoxville, a pharmacy) they are trying to kill thousands.

    Concerns:
    –make-work investigations for the purpose of high-profile results, robbing CT resources from operations to stop worse attacks;
    –extension of CT surveillance of Muslim residents to routine government surveillance, investigation and entrapment of American citizens for all manner of reasons (Randy Weaver comes to mind.);
    –focus on “catching” terrorist here instead of stopping them from coming into the country in the first place;
    –FBI distracted from greater threats already here.

    Having said that, this Muslim for some reason hated our guts, could have gotten the training, and could have been supplied with explosives. It sure looks like he had the motivation on his own, without help from the FBI.

    I go back to asking: Why did our government permit him to come here in the first place? I think that is the greater issue.

  6. Ron W Says:

    “I go back to asking: Why did our government permit him to come here in the first place? I think that is the greater issue.”

    MJM, yes, yes!

    And many others like him. Our government has for years and years, especially since the Gulf War, brought in many Muslims from Middle Eastern countries and settled them in the U.S. That’s the very group from which the ENEMY terrorists and among who they find aid and comfort. And our government has continued open borders when it is known that OTM’s (other than Mexicans) from Middle Eastern and Islamic countries easily cross our sothern border. If one reads Article III, Section 3 and Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution, according to the rules of English grammar, it is clear that high treason has and is going on.

    But NO, that can’t even be mentioned or discussed among the corporate media…yet another great issue.

  7. John Smith. Says:

    So mjm you count scouting the location and dialing a detonator phone twice motivated on his own???? Call that stretch. The operation was completely planned except for location by the fbi.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
