As a recent revolver type guy
This is a good read: How to Use a Revolver
I mentioned it before I took an expanded break from the interweb. And I said I was skeptical. Tactical Life has come out and said that it is not true:
Tactical-Life.com has confirmed that the Dallas Police Departments suspension of use of the Sig Sauer P320 was based on a miscommunication of a non-existent defect.
A blog by the name of GunMagWarehouse.com erroneously reported that there had been a Dallas PD training incident involving Sig Sauer P320. Specifically, the blog stated that the pistol discharged as a result of being dropped during training, which was far from the truth.
The Dallas Police Department has not tested the P320 and has had no issue with the P320, Sig spokesman Jordan Hunter told Tactical-Life.
But Omaha outdoors did their own testing and found it would fire when dropped a certain way:
So, this begs the question, do you catch a dropped 320? Of course not. But get the hell out of its way.
Some smart cracker said that. This federal agent should have:
A federal agent was injured at Orlando International Airport on Tuesday when he accidentally shot himself in the foot while trying to catch his weapon.
The agent was approaching a checkpoint at 11:20 a.m. when he went to unsling a shoulder bag and it caught on his holstered weapon, the Orlando Police Department said in a statement.
While the weapon was falling, the agent tried to catch the firearm and inadvertently pulled the trigger.
Only cowards carry. And also people who like to use tools to open boxes.
U.S. Army weapon officials just opened a competition for a new 7.62mm Interim Service Combat Rifle to arm infantry units with a weapon potent enough to penetrate enemy body armor.
“The Army has identified a potential gap in the capability of ground forces and infantry to penetrate body armor using existing ammunition. To address this operational need, the Army is looking for an Interim Combat Service Rifle (ICSR) that is capable of defeating emerging threats,” according to an Aug. 4 solicitation posted on FedBizOpps.gov.
Queue up the people who use the phrase “poodle shooter”
Algore disappeared for like 10 years. And now he’s back. Stahp it.
And he’s right:
Guns and gun owners arent inherently a public health problem, but the violence that results absolutely is
Silencer Shop is reporting getting Form 3s back from ATF in 24 hours. There is no reason any NFA transfer should take more than a day.
Dallas has stopped issuing Sig P320s after one supposedly fired when dropped. I’m skeptical.
Some imbecile of a professor wore protective gear to his class because they allow guns on campus.
I don’t know why anyone would want to put a stock with the ergonomics of a baseball bat on a 10/22.
While they might be a bit handy for a trunk gun, I don’t think they’re all that great for handguns.
Here’s the full conceal, which I think I’ve mentioned before. It’s a Glock with a folding magwell. Seems derpy to me.
Here’s a folding single shot 22LR pistol that actually folds up pretty small. That strikes me as more interesting since it really folds up into a small package. Still derpy to me. I guess if you’re a hitman . . .
I’ve harped on this before: How Government Wrecked the Gas Can
And your engine, your appliances, your vehicle in general, soaps, cleansers. The list goes on.
So, that Voda guy decided to stand outside NRA HQ holding a gun because they are punks or something.
That’s a common pro-gun argument. Looks like the DOJ is doing just that:
The Department of Justice announced on Friday that the number of people charged with illegal possession of a gun was up almost 23 percent in the second quarter of 2017 compared with the second quarter of 2016.
Then again, enforcing existing laws is rarely the purpose of passing them.
Or can we?
When I was the age millennials are now, there were only a few social issues that I recall people caring much about:
Abortion
Gun control
Tipper Gore and her war on rap lyrics
Every once in a while some religious person would call for sodomy bans
Gay rights
The crusade against drunk driving
Racism
Sexism
Since I was that age, it seems that most of those matters have been “settled”. I mean, legally. And gun control was a close one. We’re winning but I don’t think we’re about two more court cases away from it being settled. But I digress. A few activists in the other categories just went away. When’s the last time anyone heard from Tipper?
But some stuck around. MADD is now, basically, promoting prohibition.
And the LGBT groups started focusing on the T, which is such a small percentage of the population that I doubt anyone will care. Personally, I don’t have a problem with it. It doesn’t affect me and they’re not bothering me. But I do wonder if it’s a good idea to be all inclusive at what may be the expense of enabling a mental disorder. I digressed again. Sorry about that.
The race baiters and feminist warriors would disagree but I don’t think either of those isms is all that prevalent today. It’s to the extent that they have to make up things like “cultural appropriation” and “privilege”. Those terms are absolutely meaningless to me in anyway. I’m supposed to feel bad because I have “white privilege” and “male privilege”. Fuck right off. No one ever brings up “Asian privilege” or “Jewish privilege”. And those two groups do pretty well in our country. And the whole word salad of words like “triggered”, “safe spaces” and “microaggressions” and other meaningless terms that a whole generation is using kinda frightens me. Because they riot over this stuff. More digressing.
So, some social issues appear to be solved, legally. Some activists go away and some stick around. I mean, the race baiters will never go away. And, show of hands, whenever you see a headline that says some racist or sexist act was committed, do you generally believe it? Or do you think it’s likely fake? Yup, digressed again.
Why do some stick around? I’d posit that it’s because some people make a career out of it. Someone gets paid to advocate for gun control. Same with gun rights. And race baiting and so on. What say you?
I mean, if you’re doing this to make money, why not pick a truly impossible cause like peace in the middle east. Oh, wait.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
