From a press release:
Crimson Trace has long been a key supplier of laser sighting systems for Smith & Wesson. For more than two decades, Crimson Trace has provided consumers, military units, and law enforcement officers around the globe with the world’s largest selection of award-winning laser sight and tactical light products. Crimson Trace offers more than 225 products and is widely recognized as the world’s leading brand of laser sights for firearms. Its award-winning innovations include the Lasergrips, Laserguard, and Rail Master platforms. The company’s product line also includes the Defender Series, Lightguard, and its new LiNQ wireless activation system. Based in Wilsonville, Oregon, Crimson Trace operates from a 50,000 square foot, leased facility where it engineers and manufactures its products.
Crimson Trace was founded 22 years ago and has organically generated a ten year compound annual revenue growth rate in excess of 10%. The company maintains a product development team that has an established track record of launching high-quality, innovative laser sighting products. As a result, its products maintain a premium position with hundreds of independent retailers as well as large sporting goods retailers, including Cabela’s, MidwayUSA, Nation’s Best Sports, and internet retailer Optics Planet, Inc.
James Debney, Smith & Wesson President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “Crimson Trace provides us with an exceptional opportunity to acquire a thriving company that is completely aligned with our strategy to become a leader in the market for shooting, hunting, and rugged outdoor enthusiasts. As the undisputed leader in the market for laser sighting products, Crimson Trace serves as an ideal platform for our new Electro-Optics Division. Firearms purchasers frequently buy electro-optic accessories to enhance the capabilities and performance of their firearms. The growth that Crimson Trace has delivered is a testament to the high product quality and the robust product development capability that Lane Tobiassen, President and Chief Executive Officer of Crimson Trace, and his team have established. That capability, combined with Crimson Trace’s leadership position in the market for laser sights, provides a solid framework for organic and inorganic growth.”
Lane Tobiassen, who joined Crimson Trace in 2005, will serve as President of the new Electro-Optics Division of Smith & Wesson, and will report directly to Debney. The Crimson Trace management team and workforce, as well as its base of operations, will remain in Wilsonville, Oregon after the acquisition.
I’m a fan of both S&W M&P pistols and Crimson Trace.
Everytown lying to the DNC. Lying is all they have.
Shannon Watts begging for money. With bonus Brady Campaign getting punked.
The TN second district race is well underway and someone has created a website on how awful incumbent Senator Doug Overbey is.
Doug Overbey is bad on the 2nd Amendment
And he supported Obamacare. Americans for Prosperity has been running ads on this actually.
These are some of the reasons I’m supporting Scott Williams for Senate. Endorsement here.
Their racist “taco bowl engagement” to target Hispanics. Sure, they did it the day after Trump’s taco bowl kerfuffle but any other group would be labeled racist immediately.
Homophobia too: No homo
The emails show collusion between Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself).
And plans to reward big donors with federal appointments.
If any of this surprises anyone, you’ve not paid a bit of attention to the democrats in years.
Governor Moonbeam signed the bill requiring serial numbers from the CA DOJ to be on all firearms, particularly home-made ones.
He equates air conditioners, refrigerators and, you know, progress with ISIS.
The Gun Blogger Rendezvous is coming up in September. It’s been a number of years since I’ve been able to attend. And it’s always a good time. If you’re interested in coming out and hanging out with everyone, you can register here. Registration fee gets you most meals and $150 worth of ammo.
Intro was too long
Boyd Crowder drops some f bombs
Oh my god, so long
That’s Clinton’s VP pick. He’s A-rated by the Brady Campaign to Cling to Relevancy and F-rated by the NRA.
In other news, Hillary picked a white dude. That will not sit well with those who judge by traits.
I bumped this post because I voted today.
Our current state senator, Doug Overbey, is no friend to gun owners. Nor to freedom in general. His job claims haven’t materialized. And he’s been rated a zero on a tax payer friendly list. And whole list of other things that most of his constituents wouldn’t be fans of. And his voting record isn’t too good for those of conservative bent.
He needs to go. I’m throwing my support behind Scott Williams. You can facebook him here.
Here he is on the issues. And I know he’s serious about the second amendment because I met him through a local gun forum. So, he’s getting my vote and some of my money.
Where they have all those gun controls democrats want to pass here, there is currently a mass shooting going on.
Update: Fitting
Sorry for the link to Vox, but apparently they showed a bunch of liberals pictures of different guns and asked if they thought each should be illegal. No knowledge of guns, apparently, is required:
As you can see, if it looks scary, more people want to ban it.
The democrats are trying to retool their message on gun control. Retool, apparently, being a synonym for lying and coming up with new ways to make old, defunct ideas seem like they’re a good thing:
Stick to stressing the gun lobby as a special interest out to protect the profits of manufacturers, Pollock told the assembled representatives of Priorities USA, NARAL, AFSCME and the Senate and House Majority PACs. A strategist from the Democratic side of Googles political consulting operation was also there.
A lie. And, of course, corporate gun lobby:
The ’60s called, they want their clichs back, said Larry Keane, senior vice president at the National Shooting Sports Foundation. Based on a description of the new strategy, Keane called it “very pretty looking camo.”
If gun control is popular and a winning issue, why do all of this?
Shotgun maker Mossberg is leaving Connecticut.
Gun makers keep leaving places they’re not wanted.
