And unlike last time, I ordered them already so you goobers don’t run them out of stock. Harbor Freight has electronic ear muffs for $20 ($28 with shipping). It protects about 15db less than Pro-Ears but is only about $200 less. For $28, I’m willing to check them out.

I’ve got the Radians – and they’re OK, but they don’t cut down quite enough for long shooting or the .44. About to try the behind the ears/plugs they’ve got, see how those do.
Part of my home defense is about to be, have a set of those next to the bed. Since I can’t have a silencer, might as well make sure my hearing is good. 🙂

The main thing to look for is the NRR (noise reduction rating). According to the manual for these, the NRR is 24 dB, which is pretty good.
Let us know how they work as far as clipping.

I have a pair. They work pretty well. I don’t like to use them on indoor ranges. (I have found on indoor ranges they are almost always engaged as people are shooting all the time) They work great outdoors.
