2016: The gift that keeps on giving

Russia’s ambassador to Turkey was assassinated. It appears the killer was part of the security detail.

Three shot and wounded near an Islamic center in Zurich.

At least 9 dead after a truck plows into a Christmas market in Berlin. Reports are that ISIS is taking credit.

Interesting times. Do you want World War? Because this is how you get World War.

    You know, I retired off active duty this year & moved deep into the woods of Maine, precisely because of crap like this gong on everywhere. You can just *feel* that something really stupid is about to happen globally. Didn’t expect Hildabeast to crash & burn the way she did (thank God), but I wasn’t willing to roll the dice with her in the running. Pray for peace this Christmas.

    At least it wasn’t an archduke.

  3. Earl Harding Says:

    Heath,

    It remains to be seen if the ambassador was an archduke. Only time will tell.

    This is how you end NATO. I know I certainly would be actively against the US responding to any act that Putin might want to take against Islamic Turkey.

    Although, what I expect is that the Russians will abandon the minimal consideration for anyone in ISIS towns.

    Because this is how you get W̶o̶r̶l̶d̶ ̶W̶a̶r̶. pogroms.

    FIFY.

    Keep it up, it’ll be the epitome of “play stupid games, get stupid prizes” and it will start when the soccer moms in Brussels, Liverpool, Sydney and Cleveland decide it’s time.

  6. Publius Says:

    @Alien,

    We can’t stop them from that, but we can refuse to participate ourselves. I think it would be really, really smart to stay out of this one, see what’s left when the dust settles, and proceed from that point.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
