Yeah, he’s way off base, here.

A Green Lantern is black. There are (IIRC) currently five human GL’s. The black one, John Stewart, has been around since the 70’s.
The person currently holding the powers of Thor is a girl. It’s not like the powers and name haven’t been passed on before. Odinson is still out there, and still hero-ing.
Peter Parker (spider man) is now gay.
Actually, that’s Miles Morales, not Peter Parker. And it’s only media speculation. As far as I know, nothing’s come up in the comics about it, yet.
But that’s if you didn’t know he was Hispanic before.
Apparently, “Miles Morales” is now Spanish for “Peter Parker”. He was part of Marvel’s “Ultimate” alternative universe, and was popular enough he’s being brought in to the main universe. I don’t think they’ve revealed how, yet, but he’s not a new Peter Parker.
And then there’s Ms. Marvel who is now a Muslim
A new character taking the name of Ms. Marvel, to honor the original (Carol Danvers, now going by Captain Marvel), not a retcon. Hero names do get passed on, occasionally. I don’t see him complaining about the fact that Captain Marvel is now a woman, when the original was a man.
