Stroke of the pen

Obama issues an executive order over the Ukraine situation to take the assets and restrict the travel some Russians in the US. And it targets the Russian arms industry. Cue hysteria about arms imports on the internet.

And another damn round of ammo scarcity…

  2. Caleb Says:

I think that would really only affect Silver Bear and Tula. Wolf is made in the Ukraine (which would be bad) but there are loads of x39 manufacturers in places like Romania and other former ComBloc countries.

anyone who votes democrat, no matter which state or how “conservative” the guy purports to be, you bring this on us. Thanks for you intransigence and doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different result. Yes the other party is far from perfect, but at least they are not salivating wolves looking to down the second amendment like a yellow running dog at every turn. A vote for ANY democrat is a vote FOR zerobama.

  4. Chas Says:

Obama wants to cut off Russian ammo imports to the US to free up the Russian arms industry to supply the invasion of Ukraine? Did Vlad pay him off, or does Obama just think of everything in terms of sticking it to the NRA?

  5. Paul Kisling Says:

This is what happens when a certain asshole president decides to play Revolution in the Russian Domain, because he got humiliated by said Russians in Syria…

It then blows up in his face when the Russians do not bed over and take it like the vast majority of America voters..

  6. Tasso Rampante Says:

    – Silver Bear and Tula cut off by Obama.
    – Brown Bear and Golden Bear shuttered by PB Clermont explosion.

Not sure what “hysteria” you are referring to. A rational actor would conclude that 7.62×39 prices are going to go up.

  7. Crawler Says:

Look, if most of us Americans know that Obama is a lyin’ phony sonofabitch, the rest of the informed world knows, too.

This is not “Rocket Political Science”…

  8. Rivrdog Says:

Or, you run a gunblog and advised FIVE YEARS AGO that .ru arms and ammo was vulnerable. What took you so long, s$$hole-O?

  9. Sigivald Says:

The only issue I can see is that US sanctions against the Russian arms industry are likely to have zero effect on Russian policy.

It has “good optics”, but won’t have any real effect. (Of course, that’s generally true of sanctions regimes as a class.)

I share your belief that it’s not “an attack on US gun owners”, though.

Once again, my lack of an AR or AK caused me to read the article, then look at the barely-half-used, giant sardine can of Hungarian 1950s corrosive 7.62×54 bought in 2008 that my kids and I haven’t finished using in our Mosins.

Semiauto: turning money into noise at a rate I can’t afford. But I want to.

  11. Paul Says:

‘Banjo’ Obama can keep up his executive orders. But after 2014 he might find Congress finally gets fed up.

Why is he called Banjo? Cause he gets played so often.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
