Because it’s not radical

I, however, am.

Why Isn’t There a Movement to “De-radicalize” the NRA? Because the NRA’s positions aren’t radical. They are member driven and the members are not telling them to unradical themselves. And NRA has a 68& approval rating. They’re not the radicals.

This might be a good time to recount the Neal Knox revolt, just so everyone is on the same page.

  2. HardCorp Says:

Until I have a TMP in my hands the NRA hasn’t done it’s job.

  3. Alan Says:

Until the NFA and the GCA are repealed and I can buy a gun from Amazon without going through an FFL, the NRA hasn’t done it’s job.

  4. Weer'd Beard Says:

+1 to Alan. The NRA is Centrist at best, and more likely overly conservative when it comes to current gun laws.

Meanwhile every anti-gun group is an extremist lobby populated by a shrinking number of far-left “progressives”.

This is nothing but a distraction technique to get people to look at the NRA as “Extreme” rather than looking at these “Moderate” groups that have never met a gun control law they don’t like, no matter how infective or onerous.

  5. SayUncle Says:

Well, that’s why I say they’re not radical.

  6. Dustydog Says:

Radical does not mean crazy or extreme.
Fundamental does not mean crazy and extreme; nor does fundamentalism.

Radical means going back to the roots, the source, the basic things you know are true. As in “when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however imporable, must be the truth”.

  7. Ron W Says:

Even the term “extreme” is only meaningful if juxtaposed against the opposite extreme. I am at the opposite extreme of those who want to disarm us….while they themselves have armed protection. That is the opposite extreme of liberty and freedom being enjoyed equally by all of us.

  8. Az fortune cookie Says:

This is why I support the Second Amendment Foundation and the Arizona Citizens Defense League over the NRA…

  9. Bubblehead Les Says:

Oh gee, a British Newspaper is calling the NRA a bunch of “Radicals.”

Thought we stopped listening to the Brits on 19 April, 1775 at some places up in New England called Lexington and Concord.

And 237 years ago, the Brits were trying to Impose their Version of Gun Control on us.

Some people just don’t seem to get it, even after 237 years.

  10. NAME REDACTED Says:

The NRA represents the median in the discussion on guns. To find a pro-gun radial you need to go to the wookiesuiters, the JPFO, or the GOA.

  11. Sebastian Says:

Just to be clear, I’m not saying I think NRA is too radical, I’m saying if our opponents think it is, and is out of touch with its membership, because Frank Luntz pulled them and all, then why hasn’t there been any movement from members to move the NRA farther to the center?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
