You have to be careful when you leave America
Mentioned the marine arrested for carrying a gun in NYC and how he did not accept the plea deal. Some more items:

That may be, BUT he seems to be the perfect poster-boy to push the “Shall NOT be INFRINGED” issue. This is either America or it’s not and my rights shouldn’t stop at the border of some communist state just because the elites there don’t like me being a free citizen.

I’d go for the lack of criminal intent angle before telling a judge the legislature made a stupid law.
I would guess any judge already knows the legislature makes stupid laws most of the time, and has gotten used to the idea.

I really feel for this Marine, especially since he already gave so much for this country. But when I start planning a trip, one of the first things I do is find out what the carry laws are in each state I’ll pass through. It’s not that tough.
And as much as I’d like my carry rights to be nationwide, I’m torn about this national right to carry bill. Because once you pass it, you’ve just placed our right to carry under federal jurisdiction. I don’t have to tell anyone in this group where that could lead.
