Your dad called

He said knock it off: TSA Creator Says Dismantle, Privatize the Agency

Yes. Also, some scary numbers:

“It mushroomed into an army,” Mica said. “It’s gone from a couple-billion-dollar enterprise to close to $9 billion.”

As for keeping the American public safe, Mica says, “They’ve failed to actually detect any threat in 10 years.

That last part is rarely mentioned.

Privatize, hell. Outsource it to Israel.

But wait, they profile passengers. And who would molest the children and nursing mothers?

  2. Barron Barnett Says:

Rarely mentioned in the main stream. About every blogger I read regularly points it out if they TSA comes up as a subject. I know I make sure to point out their abysmal failures, even when they knew stuff was coming, while every time the people they have abused actually stopped the threat.

I mention it often. Not only have they failed to detect a threat, they haven’t actually caught anyone. The two high profile clowns that have been caught on airplanes have been taken down by crew and passengers.

About the only thing they have been caught doing is abusing their authority and stealing stuff out of passengers bags.

  4. Bryan S. Says:

Hmmm a civilian force, as well funded and as large as the US army. Granted, the current President didnt start this one. But sometimes I fail to see the line that runs between the D&R.

  5. Lyle Says:

The airlines were only too happy to be rid of the responsibility. F with us enough and we’ll beg to be nationalized. In these litigious times, what private company would want it?

  6. The Freeholder Says:

It sounds like he was OK with it when it was a $2 bln enterprise but not at $9 bln. Kind of an odd thought process. We’re OK with this if it can be done on the cheap? Huh?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
