Update: Campus carry in Tennessee

The local news ran a piece saying Gov. Haslam and Ron Ramsey opposed the bill. But Stacey Campfield says it’s not true and that, at least, Ramsey does support the bill.

and in Texas, even with as many Republicans as currently dominate the legislature, they still can’t get campus carry passed. It’s damn frustrating. There is exactly one GOPer (Ogden) who is against it because he says it doesn’t go far enough…says it should force private colleges & universities to recognize concealed carry as well…which is at odds with the way conservatives usually cherish private property rights and leaves me scratching my head…also, he is letting the perfect be the enemy of the good (i.e. a vast improvement over the current state of affairs). Also, some Dems who supported the measure the last time have drunken the antis Kool Aid and are now in opposition.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
