Using your dollars wisely

If you’re going to be one of the 65K+ people in Pittsburgh for the NRA Annual Meeting, you may want to avoid Primanti Brothers. Seems they hosted Bloomberg’s anti-gun group a while back. So noted.

Before all the NRA attendees begin boycotting this eatery, it might be prudent to solicit the opinion of the Pimanti ownership on their promotion of the Bloomberg event.

It may be that this business, like most businesses, will let any large group use their good services as paying customers, and will let really big spenders use them for some free publicity.

Just because Ronald Reagan is pictured with Mr. Gorbachev in several historic incidents does not mean he supported the views of that failed Communist.

Give them a call, and let the facts speak for themselves.

And if they do indeed support the political positions of the mayor of NY, go for some good ethnic food elsewhere. Pittsburgh has some great ethnic neighborhoods.

Damn it! One of my favorite restaurants for lunch. Guess I’ll have to update my NRA Convention restaurants list now…

I’ve updated my post on food places for the convention. It’s by no means exhaustive, but it’s got a lot of good ones:

Primantis is the most ridiculously over-rated sandwich shop.

Unless cole slaw and fries heaped upon an itsy bitsy slice of meat is your thing.

If you are in south Pittsburgh, just ask around for Rocket Fuel. That will address your hunger by making you far too drunk to care.

Marc Telinsky, the Director of Operations for Primanti Bros. is going to be on NRAnews.com @ 9:20 Eastern this evening.

  9. Robert Says:

Good for him to come forward. Let’s hear what he has to say.

  10. MJM Says:

Thanks. I’ll be there. I will avoid Primantis.

  11. Dave Says:

I had every intention of boycotting Primanti’s this weekend, but I will give Mr. Telinsky a listen tonight and hear what he has to say about the issue. Then I’ll decide.

You’ll have to update me on whether or not Telinsky made his case.
