Outside of limited exceptions, Maryland does not require a permit to wear and carry a long gun outside the home.”

My Steyr AUG clone is pretty comfortable to carry with a good sling. My HK UMP clone should be even more so.

Spade – very true, but that’s asking to be arrested for causing a disturbance or some equally ridiculous reason.

  3. Spade Says:

Yeah, some places in VA have tried that and they mostly get slapped. Perhaps we should all send letters to the AG asking for clarification.

Maryland, Oh Maryland, my former home – how glad I am that me and mine are no longer subject to your ridiculous government. As to the open carry of long arms, I’d expect you to get arrested with extreme prejudice if you tried it anywhere except the far western portion of the state.

  5. Mike Says:

Why do you think I live in VA?

MD can suck it — “Free State”, my tuckus!

mikee – you’re spot-on with that assessment. imagine my shock and amazement when my SO and i went to the York gun show a couple of years ago and…saw people OC rifles to the show. I WAS ABSOLUTELY FLOORED.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
