guns in parks

A reader emails:

Virginia has allowed concealed carry (indeed, open carry) in public parks for the better part of a decade now. And yet for some reason, I can’t recall the last time I saw someone go on a shooting rampage near the teeter-totter.

    Witness the horror.

Nighline covers a Virginia Citizens Defense League open carry picnic in a Newport News Public Park.

Washington State has “allowed” open carry in parks for close to 120 years (statehood in 1889). Concealed carry licensing started in the early 1960’s. No shooting rampages near the teeter-totter here either.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
