Police response
On the shooting in NY, police arrived in two minutes. In two minutes, a lot can happen. It then took them one to one and a half hours organize and enter the building. That’s a long time.

The police say no one else was shot during that time but I wonder if any bled to death in that 21/2 hours? Just saying the police could be helping the body count.

They know after the fact that no one was shot. They couldn’t have known then. Dial 911 and Die.

They were probably waiting for the shooter to off himself. Then they could enter the building with no risk to themselves.

The thing that’s really getting me on this is that we keep hearing about how armed citizens intervening in a shooting situation will make things worse because the cops won’t be able to tell good guys from bad guys.
But how is that a problem if the cops wait outside until they’re pretty sure the perp is dead?

Murdoc: Exactly. If the cops won’t enter until the shooting stops, then you are in no danger. Hell, fire off a round into the floor every fifteen minutes until the perp bleeds out.
By the time the SWAT team works up enough nerve to stack up, you can order a pizza and have it delivered.

I’m a cop, and I can’t believe they waited that long to enter. Current training is to enter immediately, even if your by yourself; like the officer in North Carolina at the Retirement Home. There’s no telling how many lives he saved.

They sat outside of Columbine for what, four hours before going in?
Now if your own kids were in there (you people who have kids) would you sit outside for four hours, listening to the gunfire inside?
In most cases these killers end up killing themselves. Then the police go in.
