I’m glad she’s back in school, but according to the article she got the “minimum” punishment, as she expected. She should’ve gotten an apology from the District Superintendent…still a travesty that she had to endure any punishment at all.
If she wasn’t about to graduate soon, I’d recommend she consider transferring to a better school with an established JROTC program where the Administrators won’t freak out over dummy Drill rifles because they’re used to them.

She wasn’t punished for inadvertantly bringing drill rifles to school, she was punished for slighting the Marxist sensibilities of her local academics. Government-funded, de facto Marxists that they are, it’s not guns that they hate, it’s the idea of private firearms ownership. Thus they show their hatred even when the “firearms” are purely symbolic. It’s the idea of freedom that they hate.
