NYT: OMG! The laws apply in NYC too!
It is remarkable how many people are willing to help illegal gun sellers.
Well, let’s start off with a big fat lie. The suit you’re about to discuss involves suing the makers of a lawful product.
Last week, in a particularly wrongheaded ruling, a federal appeals court threw out New York City’s longstanding lawsuit intended to rein in illegal gun sellers.
Oh no! A court upheld the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act!
In 2000, New York City sued gun manufacturers and wholesalers claiming that they had knowingly flooded illegal markets with weapons. The goal was to force them to do a better job of monitoring the dealers they sell to.
Actually, their goal was to bankrupt. And I hope they counter sue.

How about that “wrongheaded ruling” part? Like it’s wrong to uphold the law!

No more FFL’s! From now on it’s FNL’s. Federal Newspaper Licenses. And if someone uses information from the New York Times to commit a crime, then the New York Times is an “illegal news seller” and should be sued out of business by the government for being a public nuisance!
