Another violence policy center study

Misleading? You don’t say.

Evan Nappen takes on the Violence Policy Center’s claim that Pro-Gun States Lead the Nation in Per Capita Firearm Death Rates:

The VPC dares not look at the bottom seven states instead of the arbitrary five. That is because, lo and behold, New Hampshire ranks seventh from the bottom in per capita gun deaths. New Hampshire is undeniably a strong pro-gun state that greatly respects the individual right to keep and bear arms.

If you run a correlation between a state’s Brady score and murders in that state, you get a 0.0 correlation. Tough gun laws have no effect on murder rates, they only infringe on honest people’s rights.

Anyone have a linky to this data in its entirety?

My earlier post on this statistical hocus-pocus here.

  4. Chas Says:

Japan leads the world in death rates from mixing detergent with bath salts to produce hydrogen sulfide gas. Hydrogen sulfide has that rotten egg smell to it – it’s like dying from inhaling flatulence. Is that where we want to go? Or is that just where the Marxists at the VPC want to take us?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
