Glockity

Can your 1911 do that?

Another convert.

Note: I kid the 1911 guys. Honestly, between Glocks, Sigs, 1911s, M&Ps, XDs, insert the one you’re thinking about that I forgot, it’s about preference and feel and what you can shoot well.

Agreed. I bought my P226 because it fit my hand better (and I shot it better) than the other guns I tried. Although I’m a bit put off whenever I read things like “Putting almost 300 rounds through a pistol without a jam is pretty impressive.” Really? Maybe I’m just spoiled, but to me that sounds like pretty much the minimum I’d expect. I’ve put 300 rounds through my Sig in a single range session (without cleaning) several times, and never had the slightest hint of a jam, ever. (Of course the full-auto Glock is pretty impressive, no doubt there.)

BTW I know I should come up with a better name to use when commenting.

Considering the manner in which those 300 rounds were spent, I was impressed.

Very nice. I don’t like the way the shooter ended up with the slide forward, and didn’t check the condition. He should have pulled the slide back and made sure there was no round left in the smokin’ hot chamber.

How to be shot in the back by your own gun…

I’ve got something like 2,000 through my cheapie Auto Ordinance GI M1911A1 that I bought in 2005, including a few days of over 300 rounds (not full auto, obviously), with no jams. Is 1911. Is works. Is not slowly outgassing from plastic frame, so it will still be there for any potential children or grandchildren.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
