So how do you get the track backs to show?

  2. SayUncle Says:

I think wordpress automatically sends them. but the track backs show where their comments should be.

  3. Rob K Says:

I figured it was something wordpress did automagically. Thanks!

As one of the regular posters on the Brady Blog (RAK), I would like to thank both Sebastians, Saysuncle and everyone else involved in outing macca as the sockpuppet we thought her to be. She couldn’t be a trial lawyer w/ such piss poor debating skills

This has been a really pleasant day for me.

  5. Gregory Morris Says:

I miss commenting there though. I’ll have to see if I can make my blog send a trackback… don’t wanna set up wordpress just to have that capability though.

  6. Gareth Aka "G36-UK" Says:

    Looks like you called it.

Sorry about the grief I gave some of the guys here.

I would have joined in again, but it required me to sign up and to be honest, I’d trust the smarmy gits with my email as far as I can throw them.

Looks like I’ll have to write a new post on my blog too.

Nice how Paul refers to the bill as a prevention against “bulk” sales when it’s even billed as a 1 handgun per month law.

  8. Zendo Deb Says:

They CAN turn off trackbacks, but my guess is they don’t know how.

If you aren’t using WP or TP or any system that automagically creates TBs, display the source of the post you are interested in commenting on and do a search for trackback. The URL you find is the TB reference.

In about a week of people still commenting, I expect they will dump the trackbacks as well.

  9. Mark Says:

Well they “Limited” the number of trackback to the post. It now says, Length Exceeded, just just 2 trackbacks are showing. bunch of whiny individuals who wish to remove people second amendment rights are now messing with our first amendment rights. Wouls it be possible to “Force” them to re-open the comment section? J/K

Of course, if anyone actually purchases dozens of handguns in a single sale, the dealer sends a Multiple Purchase Form to the BATFE so there’s nothing preventing them from investigating if something seems fishy even under current law. Sheesh.

  11. Michael Says:

I want to add my thanks on the outing of macca as well. She had admitted to being a “volunteer” for the BC but obviously was unwilling to tell the whole truth.

    ..wordpress did automagically..

Yes, and when WordPress does that automagically., it’s called a “pingback”. But that’s just minutia.

That’s just a byproduct of their style sheet or something. It said the same thing when there were no trackbacks,

Oh and they wholly own their own forum. What they have is no integrity. You are more than welcome to get all the free speech you want on your own blog.

  13. Standard Mischief Says:

I tried the trackback trick too, but my pingbacks have been pretty flaky.

More Stalinist behavior from the anti-freedom gang. We’ve been saying for years that what we are fighting in “gun control” isn’t merely a few people specifically hysterical over gun owners, but it is socialism in general. The former flows from the latter.

This is yet another example: If they don’t like what you’re saying, they will not address your points, but will attack you or attempt to shut you up.

Same shit, different day. If this were China or the Soviet Union, et al, they’d find a way to shut down your web site, then probably kill you. Thankfully this is America, where we can and should ridicule them relentlessly.

  15. Smacklug Says:

Wait, I didn’t see macca outed as part of the Brady campaign, which post was this?

  16. SayUncle Says:

Smacklug: I linked here to this post with details.
