Conclusive

Linked before to the cop who had the magazine in her AR backwards. There was some disagreement about whether or not it was. Well, I found a better pic and am now almost 100% certain that magazine is in backwards.

Here’s the pic.

I’m a cop and firearms instructor. Yeah its in backward. We’ve been having fun with on another board for a while now.

    This … this isn’t funny actually …

    *giggles*

I was thinking about the claim that it is two attached magazines. Unless the inserted one was a straight 20 rounder, you would see the forward curve of it in the picture.

Has anyone asked them? She also doesn’t seem to be getting sufficient cover or concealment….

Alright, I’m on board. You can even see the hole for the mag catch that is on the wrong side. What a doofus. 🙂

  6. Cactus Jack Says:

LEO training at it’s finest! And folks believe that all of us gun owners should get the same kind of training as cops get?

  7. The Duck Says:

    No it’s not backwards! That is one of the very rare Polish left handed target AR’s! ;-}

i didn’t even know you could put it n backwards.

leave it to dorks to find new ways to fail.

I didnt know that either until a cherry in my National Guard company did it. How he got the mag in the well without pounding it with a hammer I’ll never know. Maybe he became a cop after getting out of the Guard. 🙂

Someone please tell me this is a civilian AR and not a military version.

I think the chicken wing grip she has on the rifle is way funnier than the mag being in assbackards. Maybe this is the new tacticool way to hold your rifle?

“i didn’t even know you could put it n backwards.”

Yup. I’ve seen it done. You push and rock.

Having taught several newbies to shoot, I have repeatedly had to correct people trying to insert a magazine backwards- pistol and carbine. “Bullets forward” as I usually put it, “No, bullets forward, bullets forward…That’s it.”

There are a lot of brand new concepts for a new shooter to think about all at once, so this one gets pushed down on the hierarchy behind muzzle control, stance, grip, breath control sight alignment, etc., to say nothing of posing for cameras and worrying. The photo is obviously of someone fairly new to firearms, and there are, after all, quite a few of those new to firearms (namely 99% of Congress, to name one small sub set).

The funny bit is in realizing how often the press, all of the movie industry and all the TV industry, get things like this so blatantly wrong over and over and never know it– in this, the Nation of Riflemen.

    Save it for H&K :p

here’s a video I made of how to do it. It’s easy.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
