Bleg: Combat Shotgat

Finally pulled the trigger on the Beretta 1301 Comp 24. Of course, I did as soon as they released an upgraded version. No worries.

The extent of my use of a shotgun is the old Winchester 1300 I use for the occasional dove hunting with dad. So, tell me about combat shotguns: Worthwhile accessories, techniques, dos and don’ts, best ammo if I decide to try 3 gun, choke settings, all of that. Thanks.

I have it on very good authority that a certain Tier-1 SMU uses Benelli M4s.

No, I do not know if they were run stock, or were highly modified.

For 3 Gun, choke will depend on course. Modified and Improved cylinder will get most of the work done. Also. Get a stagesaver.

3-gun and dynamic shooting are fun! I would recommend low-recoil ammo for practical shooting to be able shoot faster.

Low recoil ammo, as long as it’ll cycle the gun, a mag extension, and a 2point sling should pretty well take care of the basics.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
