Guns break

And some day, yours will too. Two good ways to be prepared are to either have ample spare part of wear items or have other guns. Heck, I think you should have a few copies of the same carry gun:

    Is that granite?

Excellent write-up. And; don’t ever push on anything but the dovetail base, Jack.

Anecdotal; I’ve had more iron sight failures, with un-molested factory sights, mind you, than optics failures. The plastic factory sights on my daily carry-for-many-years Glock have not failed. Oops; I shouldn’t have mentioned Glock. I didn’t mean to. Sorry. Forget I said it. It doesn’t matter. Carry on.

Well, yeah, if it’s mechanical, eventually it will break Don’t sweat it.

What’s really cool is to be told by a gunsmith that you’ve worn one out. That’s it, it’s done, can’t be fixed. I’ve been told that with two of them.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
