Need a Third Amendment Foundation

A right unused? Not sure, since we are all harboring a governmental presence in our homes, without our consent

They really should have written the constitution more broad brush; “solider” was far too specific. I assure you that the writers of the constitution believed that no one should ever be required to “Quarter” anyone on their property against their will by any entity be it a business, state or federal government. As sacrilegious as that may sound.

“We are all harboring a governmental presence in our homes” or are we transmitting information outside of our homes and the govt is listening in? It seems like a stretch.

If the Feds don’t have due respect the Fourth Amendment what makes you think a Third Amendment approach won’t simply lead the Feds to say “Oh, then whatever we want to do counts as a ‘manner prescribed by law'” and lead to a weakening of 3rd Amendment protections.

Cynical? or am I not cynical enough : the collective theory of the 2nd Amd, the political speech isn’t Free Speech, Korematsu, eminent domain abuse, etc

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
