Virginia and machine guns

Virginia has more lawfully registered machine guns than any other state. The article says there are a total of 500K lawful machine guns, which struck me as odd since their are only just shy of 200K of pre-86 transferables. Then I realized they were probably counting police guns.

Paramilitary. VA is where all the mercs are based.

Virginia also has H&K’s gov’t sales office. They probably have an impressive ‘demo fleet’.

Pretty sure the KRISS guys are in VA too.

I also imagine there are a good number of local dealers catering to the Marines and FBI at Quantico. Lots of post 86 dealer samples would be my bet.

I’d be surprised if there are 300,000 police MGs in VA, too.

How many police are in Va? And does that include federales?

  5. Stan Says:

There is of course also the possibility they just pulled the number from their asses wholesale.

  6. Pop N Fresh Says:

lots of guys have ffl’s and get dealer samples to beat up and “demo”, they do not have to be pre 86

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
