Keep your booger hook of the bang switch
A man accidentally shoots himself in the leg. Twice. Really? Twice?

At least he admits that he pulled the trigger. Although how someone can “accidentally” pull the trigger twice while “just standing there” is a mystery.

I can see how he might shoot it twice. I can recall shooting a friend’s Magnum Research .45, with which I was unfamiliar. I didn’t have as tight a grip on it as I should have, and the mechanics of my hand combined with the recoil of the gun caused me to pull the trigger twice, quite unexpectedly.
Of course, I was pointing the gun downrange at the time, as opposed to at my leg.

Could be a similar mechanic as this…but for the muzzle to still be pointed at the remotely same location seems unlikely.

As Col. Cooper said, anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice!

Sometimes GSWs will cause the person to squeeze the trigger a second time for several medical reasons. Apparently 8% of firearm suicides are multiple GSW.

Point taken. Perhaps a better question would be how someone could “accidentally” pull the trigger at all while “just standing there”. If you’re fiddling with it, you’re not “just” standing there.
As Tam constantly reminds us, “Stop playing with it.”

Kevin Baker beat me to it.
Although we review the 4 rules, this is my daughters favorite to recite (i.e. keep your booger hook…) mainly b/c she likes saying the word “booger”, of course.

Well, you know, this guy is clearly a danger to himself and others, and we are trained to shoot until the threat no longer exists…

“How did you shoot yourself?”
“Like this!” – BANG!
