Life in the future
King County is using grocery store databases to look for those buying pet supplies so they can fine them for not registering their animals.
The future is stupid.

Shocking news: Only 21 voluntary background checks performed on private gun sales so far at 23 Va. gun shows
And this:
Despite the low number of voluntary checks, Virginia Public Safety Secretary Brian J. Moran said in a statement that he was encouraged by the results and will continue to remain steadfast in educating Virginians on the importance of this law.
Sure thing.
So, some idiot went and robbed a Pizza Hut. He was shot and killed by an employee. I understand that the parents would be upset but their reaction is, frankly, pathetic. And includes lines like:
If there was to be a death, it was not the place of the employee at Pizza Hut. That is the place of law enforcement,
I think their “place” is to arrest and prosecute.
Why in the hell did this guy have a gun?
To shoot people like your son who are threatening lives of people.
This wasnt a body shot. This was a head shot. My son was shot in the left side of his head just behind his ear. A head shot is personal
A shot to stop is a shot to stop.
Even a criminal has a right, to a degree
Not to threaten people with force for money.
Stopped by man with a gun permit.
Another for the mass murderers v. armed citizens file.
NRA runs the old vote on the wrong day gag. CNN butthurt.
Moms Demand Something are butthurt that you can make fun targets for kids.
Man open carries at polling place, HuffPo butthurt,
Don Kates, one of the early pioneers in gun rights has passed away. More here.
Thank you, Don, for all that you did.
An interesting read over at The Economist on movie guns, where they come from, and charts on types of guns in movies. The MP5 up and down is interesting. Odd that I don’t see AR-15s listed.
Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Glenn Yamahiro ruled that the federal Communications Decency Act protected Armslist against negligence and other claims brought in a lawsuit by the family of Zina Daniel Haughton.
And this:
Yamahiro agreed the law gives immunity to Armslist but said Armslist is deliberately operating in an online gun market that others have abandoned and he noted Congress’ “well-documented impotence to take reasonable action to police firearms which allow meaningful background checks.”
Well, that’s pretty much nonsense. Maybe the social media sights will reconsider.
An idiotic woman is upset that her son was exposed to NRA’s Eddie Eagle program. The life-saving program teaches kids that if they find a gun:
To stop.
Don’t touch it.
Tell an adult.
That is seriously what this person is upset about.
McKaylas Law is no exception. Some democrats in Tennessee want to pass a law holding parents responsible when a child uses a gun and it results in injury or death. Basically, they want to punish people in cases that would usually be considered accidental. And if, say, a 13 year old steals a gun from your house and kills someone, what then?

Color me skeptical.
Speaking of bizarre, a pump action Galil.
1980s gun magazines, when magazines went on about full auto conversions and 10/22 rat wreckers.
Creepy robot voice and strange looking finger aside, this is a pretty cool animation from Lone Wolf Distributors:
Hillary Clinton, while pushing for gun control:
“I cannot come to Sanford without talking about Trayvon Martin,” she continued. “It’s heartbreaking that this young man all he did was go to a cornerstone, bought a pack of Skittles and walked back home in the rain. And his life was cut short.”
I don’t think invoking a likely burglar who was shot while he was beating someone who he thought was gay is good marketing.
The city of Tucson police are destroying guns, despite a state law that says they must sell them.

Presidential guns, a quiz.
A lot of people are buying guns because of the election. Can’t say I blame them. My advice though is to stock up on ammo and magazines now. Before everyone else gets the same idea on November 9. I had three cases delivered just today from LuckyGunner.
Whenever a new gun is announced in cryptic way, it’s usually a new AR or new 1911. And with Springfield, it’s a middy AR using Bravo Company parts coming in at under $900 called The Saint.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
