When you’re in a car wreck, sue the guy that sold them the car
WKRN:
Metro police told News 2 a group of people were inside the store when at least three armed suspects came in through an unlocked back door and began firing.
Witnesses said one of the people in the group was able to wrestle one of the suspects gun away and exchanged fired with at least one person.
The person scored shots on all three, killing one. Well done.
So, I mentioned a bit back a group of armed protesters at a Trump rally. Well, it seems they’re organized as the Redneck Revolt. And they’ve got a video of themselves practicing at the range:
That is some serious sheep-hitting. Seriously, some of them look like they know what they’re doing. Others, not so much.
So, you use this cover for your gun when you’re open carrying. To make your XD look like a Glock. WITAF?
They’re unveiling a new platform and it’s Sooper Seekrit:
Chicago accounts for nearly 30% of the increase in urban murders. And the city was responsible for 43.7 percent of the rise in urban murders in 2016.
Good thing Barry is on his way to organize that community.
The Chicago PD thinks taking a black powder gun off the street is something worth bragging about.
A $400 juicer that connects to the internet for some reason.
The future is stupid.
This week the Supreme Court ruled that Colorado has no right to keep fines, fees, court costs, and restitution it extracts from criminal defendants whose convictions are later reversed. By forcing people to prove their innocence before they can get back property that is rightly theirs, the Court said, Colorado has been violating the 14th Amendment’s guarantee of due process.
Hopefully, civil asset forfeiture is on the chopping block.
A guy steals a gun from his mom. Goes to a school and shoots first graders. And it’s the fault of the gun seller and gun manufacturer. At least, that’s what some law professors are arguing.
Not certain how reliable the study is but here’s hoping:
President Trump has saved taxpayers more than $86 billion in regulatory costs during his first three months in the White House, according to a new study from a conservative group.
In Venezuela, they took the guns from the citizens. Then, Maduro started arming his supporters.
Via Glenn, who notes: THIS IS WHY, WHEN PEOPLE TRY TO CONFISCATE YOUR GUNS, YOU SHOULD PROBABLY JUST SHOOT THEM ON THE SPOT
When the SERPA first came out, people generally liked it, in my experience. It was an attempt at a retention holster that could be drawn without much modification to the draw stroke. But that liking it thing didn’t last once a lot of people started using them.
So if you’re sitting there doing the same reps slowly and smoothly over and over, waiting for the magic of speed to somehow come along, you are setting yourself up for disappointment.
William Munny and Bill Daggett disagree. But they’re fictional characters.
That is something I know that I need to work on. One of the funnest times I have shooting is slowly squeezing off a round from the Ruger Match Champion at a steel plate at 25 yards. It’s fun. Relaxing. Kind of a zen thing. I’ve had a timer now for several months and should probably blow the dust off of it and get to it.
Obligatory:
Taxpayers spend 17 hours on average preparing their returns.
I spend much more time than that. My guess is that a lot of people who earn a salary take up a little time and people who run businesses take up a lot. My taxes for 2016 were about 75 pages, a long weekend of my time, several hours of a tax attorney’s time and 4 digit bill from him.
And I wonder how much time is spent on general government compliance? You know, things like OSHA, codes, posting little signs every where, and other various drudgery that is a burden.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
