Good news, bad news
My state senator, Doug Overbey, is leaving office. He has a history of killing off pro gun bills in committee. The bad news is he will be the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee:
State Sen. Doug Overbey, R-Maryville, was nominated Friday by President Donald Trump to serve as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
Overbey was one of six U.S. attorney nominations announced today by the president. Hes the third Republican state senator who now seems likely to be leaving the legislature next year.

Now that I live in the Maryville area I was looking forward to voting against him. Oh well. Hopefully we get a good pro gun replacement.

Good riddance for the good folks in Tennessee. Does not support the second amendment contrary to his public musings and political campaigns as is evident by his voting record.
