Designated Survivor Gets All Anti-Gun
I’ve been watching the show Designated Survivor. It’s an OK show but one of the few both I and the Mrs. watch together. And this past week’s episode was full of anti-gun nonsense. And a lack of facts about existing law. The first lady was advocating for mandatory background checks, which we already have. The episode was full of other lefty wet dreams such as wind and solar power. It was a good show until it got politically preachy up its own ass.
I wasn’t the only one who watched it.

I saw the first episode and got so turned off the by obvious Progressive bent that I never watched another. What’s the point? I know what they’re going to do with it; promote the beauty and glory of authoritarianism. That’s indoctrination, not entertainment.

That’s endemic of course. The goal is not to inform, but to mislead. Same old same old. If the writers had included salient facts, they’d have been shut down for “supporting an agenda”.

“Arrow” did the same thing a couple of weeks ago. It was so out of place, and so stupidly silly, that there absolutely had to be money involved somewhere.
For those who have never seen the show, it’s a DC comic following a group of vigilantes. At the time of that episode, one of the team member’s superpower was a Glock 17,and another one’s superpower was a pair of Beretta 93Rs.
It was completely out of place and made no sense at all.

Can’t stand those fake drama shows. Watched CSI once (that’s all it took) and the cops responding to a crime scene picked up a pistol and noted the fully loaded magazine. Then said they would have to send it to the lab to tell if it had been fired or not… because “there may have been another round in the chamber”.

Not to mention the premise of the show is a total ripoff of Tom Clancy.
